TWG LIII: The Chimera Code

The Northwest Sector, 2055 Hours.

Tair walks over to where Ailian, Jade, and Ran are sitting, anxiously awaiting contact from the other members of the squad.

“Here he comes,” Ran says. “What’s the news?”

“Good and bad,” Tair replies. “Good news: nearly everyone is safe in the underlevels. Security drones are in the ventilation systems, and we’ve got people taking care of things. The citizens are taken care of.”

“What’s the bad news?” asks Ailian.

“Well...I was in the turret holding off some of those creatures that were coming through a small breach to the left of our tower. I ran out of ammo before I could finish them all. There were six of ‘em left, and they all...they all transformed themselves. Changed themselves to look like the city’s soldiers! Two of them were acting weird though, like they were struggling to move...”

“Wait, wait, wait,” Jade interrupts. “So these things can disguise themselves as us?”

“Yes,” says Tair, “and it gets worse. Even if we find the rest of the squad, who can we trust? We all got split up, except for you three. Any one of them could be one of those things.”

“Damn it, he’s right,” says Ailian. “And they won’t attack out into the open. They’ll stealthily pick us off one by one. They’ll go for all the important people first. What will we do?”

“Hold on,” declares Jade. “I have an idea...”

The next day, an armor-cloaked figure stands on a hill in front of a reunited Mobius unit.

“My friends,” the figure declares. All goes silent. “An important security issue has come to my attention. As detailed by the message you all should have recieved earlier, we are all to choose new code names. You are to refer to others using these new code names only. Let us start with the gentleman in the back.”

“You can call me Raven,” he replies.

“I am Vale,” shouts another young man.

One by one, the names are read off: “Lain, Keevan, Auran, Shade, Axl, Pyron....”

When all is finished the armored figure declares, “I am Visark. Tomorrow we hunt, but tonight we sleep.”

The exhausted soldiers crash in the nearest barracks.

Ok. Well I have a basic plan to get the blues together.

It will basically be like our last plan, although this time it is pretty much impossible to fake the role that will do the uniting.

The cursed mason needs to come out ASAP. I choose them because

1. They die early, so people would know if they are lying.

2. They are a mason so people could tell if they are lying.

If someone has a better idea, please post it. But if not, I think we should get this going pretty soon.

Go talk to him. Unfortionatly its probably too late to get you in right now. Although the chance of someone being inactive is huge in a game this size, so you could probably just get put on the replacement list.
