Hey! Do you like Anime? That's ok, Anime hates you too.

Hey! Out of all the packs I had in mind, Anime files were the only ones I was closest to making a pack with over
10 files. I made this thread so I can un-laze myself and actually finish something for once. That said, I plan to
release this on July 2nd.

Goal/Plan:
- To test my patience charting these boring generic 8th note stream JPOP music hopefully making them unbore to
play.

- I do want to make a very easy chart that can be played on PAD and a dump chart for each and every file but I can't promise that for now.
I'd like to cater to a wide range of players by doing that but at the same time I'm not trying to make three different charts for each file. The files I made are around technical 18's on etterna scale and the pack might end up being for intermediate players.

- Mainly will be focusing on a fresh pack of unreleased files but there will be some released reworks thrown in.

- In spite of the pack name, this pack is open submission. Pack name may change depending on how many unique files I get to consider as a community pack.
Below is a list of everything I finished/working on/will chart. let me know if u are interested making a chart on the same song.

- Although choosing the best/catchiest tunes to chart is ideal there will be no rejection due to song choice.

- As long as its a OP/ED Insert/BGM/character song of Anime I'm cool.

- Again, any style is cool. I myself plan to make some dumps. If the chart is above 25 or below 13 I might ask for another chart within that difficulty range. If you can't get to it I will make it if I like the song enough hopefully.

- If you are interested in making a chart with any of the songs I am working on feel free to contact me and I will add it.

Judging:
I will pretty much be looking out for extreme difficulty spikes and consistency.
As long as you are consistent with what you are doing, you are free to do whatever you want.
Notes are not set in stone, you are welcome to elaborate on what you were following and I can definitely reconsider my note.

- This plays extremely well, I was worried about some parts but turned out fine. Also there were some very cool patterns I gotta take note of especially in the first half.
Other than that as I said the rest plays real nice even with some poly rythyms, its cool u can pull that off.
On that note, theres two things Id like to address.

One: the very beginning @4.931
It kinda feels lacking here, I'd like to see the jumps that were following the melody in that stream all the way even in the 24th stream.

@63.140
theres like one crash you didnt add Im guessing because its not necessarily as loud as the other ones but I'd like to see a jump here some how without making it too hard. You might have to rearrange the 16th jumpjacks you have before it or the 32nd stream below.

Other than that looks good to me as far as playing it on 0.9x might find some more stuff as I keep playing, otherwise nice work.

Also, I think I can make a non-dump chart. But if you were able to make it that helps.

Kimi wo Mamoritai

Overall the chart plays smoothly well, however can use quite a few polishing. It seems like you are going back and forth with what you are trying to layer which comes out to be and feel very inconsistent.

@10.380 - Jump here going to nothing. It could be following the echo but I don't advise you layer the echo the same way you are layering the main vocal. Remove it.

@15.630 - Although this is fun to play its not what I would personally like to see, or to be blunt, how I would chart this section. The measure where this starts (14.344), there is a stronger hi-hat sound that kicks in offering some interesting stuff. Right here there is a trill going on tht could also be stepped as a two note jacks. But you didnt really follow this entirely so this note is totally optional.

@19.702 - Not necessarily suppose to be jumps here but I like what you did here.

@22.059 - Heres where things start getting really fishy. The way you layer identical phrases changes within the measures. here you have the bassline layered as hands. But each time this phrase reoccurs you have it stepped in a different way.

Not a fan of mini freezes overlapping closer than 12ths. Not to mention, it looks very inconsistent with what you are following with them. Either take them all off or do what you did @26.13 / 26.344 and just keep the ones at the end of a stream segment.

Try to revisit 22-28 with a concert layering of what you want to follow/ I could go over in more detail on discord.

@28.202 - missing an opportunity of a vocal hitting on the 24th right here. It seems tho you purposely didnt want to chart it.

Also here again, mini freezes are confusing as to what they are following. Part of me wants to say bassline but then again there are other parts that I thought should have a mini freeze dont have it.

@28.702 - missing jump following the vocal + bassline.

@29.023 - missing vocal note. I think you snapped at on the following 8th note which needs to be changed as a single note among adding this note.

@29.237 - missing jump following the vocal + bassline.

@31.594 - the vocal note I mentioned earlier that hits on the 24th applies to here too.

@32.487 - I don't know what these 12th jumps are going to. The vocal note snaps on the 16th just as every other did.

@34.702 - missing jump following bassline + vocal.

@35.773 - Patterning changes again and now you introduce jumpjacks which I actually would love to see a version where you use this more consistently. But since the majority of the chart are offsetted jumps it would require a overhaul to consider stepping this way, so unfortunately, change this.

@36.523 - Missing vocal

@39.952 - Jump on this 16th is not warranted.

@41.773 - The usage of mini jacks and layering of kicks are inconsistent please revisit this section.

@56.023 - This 16th and the one after I believe are followign the vocal but they arn't real vocal notes. It is interesting that you caught on to it and I dig it but this whole part doesnt warrant to be patterned as a one hand trill. loosen up the pattern here like how you did with rest of the following mini-jumpstreams. Or You could be a rebel and do the complete opposite and make them all trills following the PR.

@64.594 - missing hi-hat

@68.130 - Change this note to a 3 or a 4. Just because of this single note you created a long ass anchor that isnt warranted.

@69.202~82.916 - Inconsistent usage of hands and jumps aswell as some missing notes in this section please revisit.

@83.130 - change to single note wrong layer.

Didn't really go in to everything but those were the key things. Everything else were nested within these and if it wasnt clear I can go over it if you don't find it.

Not sure which type of files you're making but as far as My Dearest and The Everlasting Guilty Crown, there is already a non dump in OD8/9 that Im pretty satisfied with. Attang also dumped the shit out of them but there is always room for more dumps.

I might dump Pokemons japanese themes but not for this pack.
I also have a couple bleach's in mind but also not for this pack and not dumps.

Colors
The problem with this style is that it lacks variation of patterns when its stepped this heavily.
I understand that this is more of a jack stamina practice. However, it goes bland especially when the chorus and verses are stepped nearly the same. There also wasn't a defined layering structure within phrases and alot of things felt random in terms of layering and patterning. Such as vocals not being consistently layered and alot of the 16ths layering felt very arbitrarily charted as singles/doubles. 37.643 and a couple measures onward is a good example of what im talking about.

66.319-72.937
was the funnest part in the file in terms of how relavent the patterns followed the song. Despite it being the easiest part it is also the most unique part of the file which helps it stand out alot.

Conclusion, It was hard to say its enjoyable mainly because of how bland it came out to be with the lack of unique layering/patterns and arbitrary usage of doubles/triples.
A good example Id like to see from a file of this nature would be ''KiraiNoWaKeLychee'' from ''Jackin' It To Anime OPs Pack 1''

This was optional because I dont want to tell you to completely not step it since u had most of them down. Playing through the edit right now and u added the ones i found missing which is great

36.523- I've listened to this song more times than I can count and I don't see or hear a vocal at this exact section
She is saying
Kimidake ni aru
Where ''ru'' hits on the 16th right here.

39.951- Jump is part of the vocals

@23.880 this 16th has the kick percussion(the same one as the ones in 25.059) layered with the synth. I personally think this is a perfect opportunity to use a jumpjack or at least have it [12]

@22.166 if this is following the tick sound, shouldnt there be one @22.916?
I understand why it wasnt stepped but it technically isnt consistent. Your call.
But then starting from @24.630 you change what ticks you follow again

@24.845 synth + jump

@25.585 In the same exact phrase before this(22.059), you stepped the tick that goes here. Although, I would also love to see the 4th right before this stepped as a jump I can totally understand why you choose not to and its a hard say for a solution.

@26.559 percussion + synth jump layer to this and the following 16th. Just like how you did at 23.10

@28.202 This is optional but going to elaborate on what is goign on here.
Basically she is saying, Hitoribotchi which is broken up to
Hi to ri bot chi, where they snap at the following notes,
24th 8th 16th 4th 8th

You ignore the ''hi'' part of this segment which falls on a 24th

Which is understandable. But note this same phrase occurs again and sung the same way but you have a jump layer. Will mention further into notes.

@29.023 Still missing the note I mentioned. Here she is saying Fuan, where the ''an'' is missed tht hits on the 16th here.

@31.457 Here is what I was talking about. This is where she sings that delayed note that hits on the 24th.

@32.452 Vocal falls on the 16th here but you have it snapped as a jump on the 8th followed by this

Separate the anchor on 2 between the vocal and the snare roll. moving the 8th single note right after the [12] following the vocal will help this play alot better differentiating the vocal anchor and the snare roll.

Just because of this single note you created a long ass anchor that isnt warranted. @69.202~82.916 - Inconsistent usage of hands and jumps aswell as some missing notes in this section please revisit. @83.130 - change to single note wrong layer. Didn't really go in to everything but those were the key things. I understand that this is more of a jack stamina practice. However, it goes bland especially when the chorus and verses are stepped nearly the same. There also wasn't a defined layering structure within phrases and alot of things felt random in terms of layering and patterning. Such as vocals not being consistently layered and alot of the 16ths layering felt very arbitrarily charted as singles/doubles. 37.643 and a couple measures onward is a good example of what im talking about. 66.319-72.937 was the funnest part in the file in terms of how relavent the patterns followed the song. Despite it being the easiest part it is also the most unique part of the file which helps it stand out alot. Conclusion, It was hard to say its enjoyable mainly because of how bland it came out to be with the lack of unique layering/patterns and arbitrary usage of doubles/triples. A good example Id like to see from a file of this nature would be ''KiraiNoWaKeLychee'' from ''Jackin' It To Anime OPs Pack 1'' - Needs Fix before accepting Kimi wo Mamoritai V2 ShadowGod - Last Monday at 1:35 AM The mini freezes are actually going to the synth so that's why they overlap, would you prefer them smaller so they're not really noticed? But then starting from @24.630 you change what ticks you follow again @24.845 synth + jump @25.585 In the same exact phrase before this(22.059), you stepped the tick that goes here. Although, I would also love to see the 4th right before this stepped as a jump I can totally understand why you choose not to and its a hard say for a solution. - Mini freezes still needs to be added here. @26.559 percussion + synth jump layer to this and the following 16th. Just like how you did at 23.10 @28.202 This is optional but going to elaborate on what is goign on here. Basically she is saying, Hitoribotchi which is broken up to Hi to ri bot chi, where they snap at the following notes, 24th 8th 16th 4th 8th You ignore the ''hi'' part of this segment which falls on a 24th Which is understandable. But note this same phrase occurs again and sung the same way but you have a jump layer. Will mention further into notes. @29.023 Still missing the note I mentioned. Here she is saying Fuan, where the ''an'' is missed tht hits on the 16th here. @31.457 Here is what I was talking about. This is where she sings that delayed note that hits on the 24th. @32.452 Vocal falls on the 16th here but you have it snapped as a jump on the 8th followed by this @34.702 Jump here meyb? @40.380 Missing vocal jump here She says Koete, which is Ko e te 8th 16th 4th Second half is SOOO much better. I love it. I can follow along what is going on alot more better now.
