Yellow Leaves [62 or 56]
Yup this file...
I think it's pretty obvious that at the least, it's 60 or below. Addict was the previous D4 chart, and the cutoff for that 5-0-0-1. The cutoff for this is currently 4, and we're not even halfway through the week. Preliminaries aside there's really nothing in this file that is even particularly difficult to hit. Aside from a few 24th bursts here and there, all of which are very short and flow nicely, there's nothing at all that's even VC level. There are a few grace notes in the slower first half that may frustrate, but even...Throwing Fire (a 50) and Off World Colony (a 49) for eg has more brutal colours than that, so that's not really a good excuse at all. Some files by way of comparison: Adult's Sketchbook is a 59. There is a rather fearsome little spiky 24th section in the middle not to mention a whole lot of colours everywhere. Cosmic Orchestra is 60 and it is far harder than Yellow Leaves, seeing that it's very intense for a file of that range, while Yellow Leaves is chill and the rage-inducing spots are far and few between. Prism is 57 and the bursts in it are a lot more brutal than Yellow Leaves. Have a play of the two files: Prism's second half, esp. that one burst is far harder than anything from Yellow Leaves. The only reason why Yellow Leaves could be considered a VC is its length, but even that is not really a good excuse - it's not really long enough (~3:15) for that to become a real factor in elevating its difficulty rating. So...yeah.

Dropping the difficulty that much is a little over kill. The chart is harder than you give it credit for to the average user. I think it fits best in the 59 / 60 range as if you're not consistent and the BPM change throws you off, you're in for trouble.

I think it should be a 60, honestly.

Re: Yellow Leaves [62 or 56]
p.s. this was originally going to be bumped down to 60, so if everyone's good with that I can lock/msg Jae to shift
If the next group of posts are all 'ya 60 idgaf' etc., then that's what I'll do lol |

@VisD (because I don't want everyone outright ignoring your OP lol), I'd definitely say Yellow Leaves is more difficult than Prism. Although maybe not quite on par with something as technical as Cosmic Orchestra, but that's somewhat subjective as they're two very different files (as is Adult's Sketchbook, another colour note technical file).
After looking over the songs in the 60 subgroup, perhaps 59 is a better fit for the file. Although I wouldn't go any lower than that. |

I'm going to say 59 for this one. Despite the length, very few components in this file present even a considerable challenge on an objective level. Aside from an occasional polyrhythm or two, this file flows really well. Length is only a slight factor.
If the general consensus is 60 for this, I can level with that too. |

Re: Yellow Leaves [62 or 56]
Lol, I maintain that it's easier than most files in that diff range cuz there's just nothing really intense. A 59 would be decently appropriate, I guess; but compared against 60 like Chlorophyll, it doesn't rly hold up.
