Step Charting for FFR
I've made plenty of step charts for many songs. How can i upload them to FFR, and can they be in Stepmania's format or one specific for FFR? Looking forward to hearing from you.

if you want to upload them in SM format, for people to download and enjoy: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/sims/
if you want them considered for FFR, you need to go into the songs/permissions subforum (of this forum) and read the stickies... we have very specific guidelines on what can and can't be used for FFR. specifically, we have to have artist permission... the notechart can't be public (aka, can't be in the simfile db or any simfile packs or available for download anywhere), it has to pass submitted properly, it has to pass our strict judging, etc.

Re: Step Charting for FFR
Anybody can upload as many songs as they want into the simfile database for others to download, you can fill that up as much as you want.
As for FFR, there's a queue of finished songs waiting to go into the game, and that queue tends to get pretty long. As I recall they are closed for submissions until May except for the recent reopening of submissions for 11/12 and 12/12 difficulty songs only. I can't see why they wouldn't want more quality songs submitted at any given time. When the queue gets sufficiently long, they can and usually do hold some sort of event that sees a large-scale releasing of songs. If Third Style is to have a majority of completely new songs in it, when that is released they will almost certainly dump -most- of the queue into it freeing up a lot of space. Nothing is stopping you from submitting songs to FFR, but bear in mind that plenty of people with a lot of experience making SM files have submitted many times and not had a song accepted. If you're choosing 10 out of the 500 songs you got, standards are pretty high. |
