Re: Harlem Shake
Not a fan of the Harlem Shake. Completely unoriginal and has no flavor in humor.
If anything, it made me dislike the music more simply because of the trend. Admittedly, there are some humorous ones, but those are rare xd |

It may be a hispter thing to say, but I haaaaate when a giant mass of people get into things and music you consider is less accessible for the sole reason that it originates from a trend. I remember just a few years ago when I made new acquaintances with a bunch of people that knew some songs I wasn't expecting them to know (at least certainly not in my area). They were just like "yeah, well it's from Guitar Hero". And what do you know, during the few next years, everything dumped out of that game was the bestest music. I kinda liked the concept of Harlem Shake though (trap music already being into my league), it's kind of humorous only on the surface but it doesn't go really far. At least for the surprise, and the contrast before and after the cut. Only one I think I can go back any day is Matt and Kim's: |

Re: Harlem Shake
almost forgot - bumping this thread because this one is just downright awesome - even if you don't like the Harlem Shake, this one is pretty innovative, haha.

I despise Gangman Style with a burning passion but I just can't hate on the Harlem Shake just yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8Gvz-taBbk The dude falling out the window with his flag in hand, mercilessly shaking it as he stumbles to get on his clumsy yet victorious feet. For Finland! |

Re: Harlem Shake
i like the harlem shake as a song and i hate that its being ruined by the explosion in popularity. and not because the more people that listen to it/know about it makes it shitty but the fact that all anyone ever hears is that small 30 second clip
