Re: NHL Playoff Predictions: 2011-12 Edition
Updated.
Every series is tied save for three underdogs. And me being the big 'Nucks fan I am, anyone expecting them to show a different side in LA? Me, personally, yes. This is a big hole, but this is also a Vancouver team that can play well when under pressure. Don't laugh, they can. For one, they were one of the best road teams in the NHL. Also, let's think back for a bit. 2002. Detroit, as the first seed, falls 2-0 at home to the lowly, 8th seeded Vancouver Canucks. They would go on to win 4 straight on route to a Stanley Cup victory. Not enough? How about this. 2011. Montreal, in the 6th seed, takes a 2-0 series lead over the 3rd ranked Boston Bruins. Needless to say, we all know how that turned out. |

Philadelphia is an exception because we all hate Pittsburgh.
Also, gotta like how most of us bet Pittsburgh, yet are hoping and praying for a Philly victory. |

T-Force, you forget the 2010 Philadelphia flyers who went down 3-0 to Boston, but came back to tie the series, and then in game 7, went down 3-0 in the game, and came back to win 4-3 in regulation.

Blue, I was going mainly at first round teams who went on to win the Cup, but excellent example as well there.

James Neil's goal was pretty dirty. Almost as nice as Klein's against Detroit.

Philly is DELIGHTFUL right now.
Horribly disappointing game in Phoenix last night though. I hope they get it back. |

Re: NHL Playoff Predictions: 2011-12 Edition
Holy crap was that game in Philly INTENSE. One more loss for Pittsburgh and Philly will be most pleased with a 4-0 game sweep.
Let's see now if Vancouver can redeem themselves in tonight's game. That's the game I'm looking forward to.

Still impressed how Pitt is winning all of these altercations, particularly Crosby after coming back from a concussion.

I hope Vancouver loses tonight. I really don't like them. Even though I though I picked them to beat LA.

Re: NHL Playoff Predictions: 2011-12 Edition
I like Van, but I hope they lose too, if that's what they earn. The only thing I don't like to see is a fluke. LA has outplayed the shit out of them so far, so what's left to talk about?
There's a former Canuck on the Kings I LOVE watching, anyway. Willie Mitchell! One of the most entertaining dmen in hockey, and not lacking in skill either. |

I'm really hoping Nashville pulls through. Probably my favorite fanbase team. So classy in a drunken friendly cowboy way.
