Re: The Fitness Thread
After speaking with Reach, a re-assessment of my diet is in need.
Because of my genetics, I'm not the right type of person for bodybuilding really. I SERIOUSLY struggle to eat. Every night for the past 5 months has been me, keeled over a bucket ready to throw up, and I'm only eating 3000 calories. Because of this, I haven't gained ANY weight in 2 months. My maintenance has risen due to the increase in body mass, so this is going to be a serious struggle for me, but I'm going to do my best. Because of this, I'm seriously going to start gathering some fattening shit and adding it to my diet. 2 additions as of right now: 1. Cold Pressed Virgin Olive Oil (All over my food.) 2. Ice cream. Going to eat that shit twice a day. Also I'm switching my creatine back to Kre-Alkatine, pill form. Powder form irritates my stomach.

Re: The Fitness Thread
Can anyone describe what a pump feels like?
The other day I had the strangest feeling but have no idea what it may be. I was doing some barbell curls, trying to keep my abs tight -- and suddenly the abs start tingling like crazy... the sort of feeling you get when your leg falls asleep and suddenly the blood starts flowing again? It felt like big electric sparks going off in my abs / floodgates opening up and tingling everything hardcore. Not sure if normal or oh-shit-something's-wrong... it didn't hurt, though -- just surprised me. |

Re: The Fitness Thread
What are you weighing, 150, SC? Check out Nick Lepore, he's 150 and he looks big as ****. You can do it.
Find a snack that you can eat a lot of and when you start feeling full, have some of that snack. Pump is just when you get your muscles filled with blood. It's sort of hard to describe the feeling, other than good? Ah well, anyways he did 585 for 4 good reps. Was like "are you ****ing kidding me?!" Last edited by Senip; 10-8-2012 at 11:15 PM.. |

Re: The Fitness Thread
I get crazy pumps in my arms, especially triceps and forearms. Sometimes biceps as well (especially on incline dumbbell curl).
The muscle gets incredibly hard and very firm to the touch when unflexed. It's like a rock. It feels incredibly tight, like the muscle is expanding underneath my skin. There's a really tight and sort of burning sensation when I use the muscle after that. That and the muscle looks enormous compared to normal and is much more vascular. It's really weird the first time it happens to that degree but after awhile you learn to love it. And yeah, I don't think SCwolf needs to get much bigger to look ripped. Bulk for a few more months and then just cut until you're shredded out of your mind, which should be easy for you given how hard it is to gain weight. I've decided I'm going to keep bulking until April, but I have the opposite problem as SC. I have to avoid getting too fat. Right now I'm gaining about 0.5 lb a week, which is pretty solid, though I don't even eat until I'm full (Fat boy genetics). I'm definitely making tons of gains, but the fat I've gained is going basically to only my lower abdomen and my neck (menton area, under the chin), which is really frustrating (nothing worse than having a fat looking face despite having a 4 pack LOL).

Re: The Fitness Thread
18 inches, no pump, etc. My arms dont pack a lot of fat, just some excess skin. It's all in my lower back and sides now, sadly. |

Re: The Fitness Thread
hey guys, figured I'd go here for some advice. I'm currently on a workout that I sort of designed myself/got off the internet and I was wondering if it would actually do any good. It's the only workout I could find time for so if it's not a good workout, could somebody suggest something similar/not time consuming?
wide grip pushup - 1min 30 sec break v-up - 1min 30 sec break mid grip pushup - 1min 30 sec break reverse situp - 1min 30 sec break close grip pushup - 1min 30 sec break bicycle kick - 1min repeat x3 so a total of 3 sets. It's basically a muscle failure workout. Afterward, I stretch and go for a 2-3 mile run. Once I'm all done I stretch really good. Any help is appreciated! |

They just look smaller than 18 inches and I assumed it was because your hands look giant in that picture. Could be the angle too.
