I looked at the following 4 conditionally queue'd files in September 2014 that had updates sent:
- PWRPFF Raves
- Gym Training Montage

- Phantasy Story -Re:Start-
- burned down the ghost house and escaped spooks

For the files that were put back to Conditional Queue from unresolved issues, an email was sent with the feedback on what needs to be addressed.

Hi guys.
I'm a newbie here, so I have questions.
Currently, there are 2 of them.

1. I submitted two simfiles 3 days ago, and not only I haven't received a single email reply, I haven't even seen my stepcharts in the queue in the BSE, which is ridiculous. Is it normal?

2. Since I haven't found an answer for this, how do I increase my submission cap?

Thanks in advance

you increase submission cap by getting your submissions accepted by the batch reviewers

and the reason you haven't seen your files yet, I don't know. They have alot of work on their hands atm I guess.

Did you send them to regularffrsubmissions@gmail.com ?

Okay, I'll wait for my files to be accepted. I hope they won't be reviewed as extensively as some of the older charts were :P

Yes, I did send them to that exact email.

Email replies are not given for submissions. You won't see your stepcharts on the Queue page because they aren't in Released, Accepted, or Conditional Queue. What I think you meant is that you needed a user account to add Songs. I PM'd you your user information and created the two Songs for you. Also, submitting to the email does not make the song submission present on the BSE site -- an admin user has to approve it.

Concerning increasing your submission cap from 2 to 5, it just requires that a user gets a file accepted (which makes the user a simfile author).

Also, users who are submitting under an alias should state so in their emails. You know who you are -- not informing that you are submitting under an alias provides more overhead that makes song submissions harder.

I thought submitting under an alias wasn't allowed and any submissions discovered to be under an alias would be rejected

Going past the submission cap with an alias resulted in punishment in the previous system, yes. I might wind up adding a rule that stepartists must state if they are using an alias in their email, but if such a rule is to be added I'd give proper notice.

If I recall correctly, the only reason it's allowed is because it's not written anywhere in the rules that you're not allowed to, assuming you're not breaking your cap overall.

At least, that's what I did. One time I think sent two on my alt and one on my main because it stayed within both caps in a sense.

Thanks for the information! Basically, you covered all of my previous questions.
Although I have a new one. When are regular batches open and why do they close? (I only seem to get info on batches from 2014-2015.)

Regular Batches occur in two-month intervals. So January 2016 really means January/February 2016 for instance.

Submissions before the January/February 2016 Batch closed:
Pear (M0nkeyz) [Feb 29, 2016 9:09 PM]
Rocket (Xtreme2252) [Feb 29, 2016 10:15 PM]
YEAR OF THE BAD DRAGON (Xtreme2252) [Feb 29, 2016 10:15 PM]
Blue Army V2 (DarkZtar) [Feb 29, 2016 at 10:47 PM]

The last three aren't on the BSE site right now, although these are the last submissions before the January/February 2016 Batch closed. March/April 2016 will not be running; the regular batches are closed for the time being.

Is this where I would go to get a song I made on the game?

If not what should I do to do this?

Oh! I was lucky enough to submit those, then.

Is there some kind of a schedule for them?

You should contact noname219 (preferably a personal message) about adding you to the Artist Permissions List thread. I'm assuming you mean that you want users on the site to be aware of your songs and step them?

Hahaha, yeah no I pretty much agree with the review. To be honest I probably shouldn't have even stepped the song to begin with. It's steppable, it's just not really the kind of song I work well with.

Very interested in seeing what happens with Kronos though.

The BSE site has been updated for the 10 finished files. Overall results for the November/December 2014 Batch are in the below spoiler in an image. Warning, the image is large.

In addition a few other things were updated:
- The two songs that were released Tuesday have been updated from Accepted to Released (DRAGONLADY and Pointless Fast Rap).
- The three songs I mentioned in an earlier post that were the last submissions to the January/February 2016 Batch are now visible on the site.
- Currently the only batch that is open is the Official Tournament Special Batch. I can't say when the Regular Batch will reopen yet as it just closed and I'm trying to work something out concerning the regular batches -- this is not a permanent state though.

No complaints with the rating on ShutemDown, the chart was honestly quite rushed and it showed. Looking forward to see what gameboy did with Kronos, I had considered stepping that song a while back.
