Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
Pardon my ignorance for a moment, but what exactly is screen-shrinking?

Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
Making the game screen smaller so you see less, and when the arrows come up you have less time to see them, which should improve your reaction rate because you'll be seeing less arrows at the same time and won't get as confused from seeing a ton of arrows.
Really helps. |

Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
Screen-shrinking means that you reduce you sreen size to about the half (where people are usually the more comfortable.) To do that, you use the second button in the top-right corner of the browser, ans then drag the window until you have the desired size. You might ask how this will be helpful. By seeing less arrows at the same time, your brain can concentrate better on the "important" arrows. Try it a couple of times and you should get better score. Trust me, I got a lot better with it.

Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
So I decided to try all the other division songs just for fun.
AAA on See You Dance. Rank 1176 on Moonbeam. Rank 1741 on Lovely Lovely Lovely. Wow, I suck. Improved on everything, though.

Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
Oh. Whoops. My guess was playing it on lo-res, which I can't manage because the arrows are WAAAAAAY too small. I'm gonna try screen-shrinking. =O

I'm working myself towards that. Down to 5 greats right now. Not excellent, but not too hard of a fix.

Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
I hate FF7, lmao. It's a tough song to PA. Down to 30 goods right now... But I only played it 5 times through. Should be able to get it down to under 10 before next week.

Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
Dang ... three runs with under 10 goods, one of them with 6 goods, until I get to the up arrow mini-jack, then I choke. Either that, or it freezes somewhere. Geez that makes me mad.

Re: 2nd Official FFR Tournament - Round 3
Yes.
If neither opponent submits a score, Shash randomly choose one to advance (I would assume with a coin flip). If he removed both of them from the tournament, byes would have to be made and it would screw up the bracket. SO, someone's gotta advance.
