well sadly when it comes to my photoshop doc, I don't think you can open it up in a online image editor. I could probably write a second section on PIN-POINTING the exact pixel where your avatar should go. I'll do that later though. :\

Ok, I didn't have a problem doing this using the picture you provided but then I tried using one of my own..I selected the avatar box and copied as you said but when I paste it all I get is a black box(As shown in my current avatar). Why? Thanks for this by the way

You're selecting the avatar layer and not the layer with your image. Select the layer with the black box, use the magic wand, THEN before CTRL+X/Cutting the image SWITCH to the layer with your image. Sorry if that wasn't clear in the instructions.
