Do you have a LinkedIn account? If not, make one and attach your resume (to fill your profile out automatically). You can connect with friends/colleagues, and there are groups that usually post job opportunities.
Also, check the city council website and see if there are any municipal jobs that are open. They always need the help. As a last resort, retail stores are always hiring (for the most part). Drop your resume around grocery/fast food stores, convenience stores and walmarts. Good luck
