[youtube] tag [/youtube]
Some of the other forums have this tag and it is very handy when you want to directly show off videos to other people.
From what I figure, it shouldn't be that hard to implement this, so why not ?? |

Definitely a possibility. While other things take priority, I'll pass this on and see what can be done.

Re: [youtube] tag [/youtube]
I can make it quite easily. I will ask the rest of the staff to see if they object.

Re: [youtube] tag [/youtube]
Most forums I know utilize the full youtube link. Only here and KBO are the places I know that only use the video ID. :/
Anyways, handy thing to have. Thanks. |

Re: [youtube] tag [/youtube]
If we use the whole link, people can abuse it and put any link in tags. This way is secure.

Re: [youtube] tag [/youtube]
you could make it look for and replace every occurrence of /\[youtube\](http:\/\/)?(www\.)?youtube\.com\/watch\?v=/ with "[youtube]"

Re: [youtube] tag [/youtube]
Then that wouldn't even be a BBCode, that would be a stream editor that has to be exec'ed whenever anyone posts.

Re: [youtube] tag [/youtube]
Long story short: The current method is secure against any kind of injections and doesn't require anything extra to be done to parse the command, it isn't changing.
