ultra fun game to host. idk if i can really give an mvp because AA would get it, but he got wiped by a really bad mechanical play. Wolves played reaaaaaally well, and town got super lucky i think.

anyways some player comments:

V: too scary, that's why we had to kill you lol

Charu: idk if you really did much lol but you appeared town

dlgn: you flip-flopped a lot for everybody. This is probably because your playstyle is very different than what is typical on FFR. When we see scumreads we expect to see evidence otherwise we'll typically disregard what is being said as a weak push for a mislynch or something. In the end you snapped really hard to being not-townread which was your downfall.

xiz: lol pocket

tokzic: really good fakeclaim, beating a newbie's claim is pretty hard though lol

xel: disappointed that you didn't do anything

roundbox: really good meta post on xel and a great read on dlgn but it was too late

AJ: great start, I hope to see you play again

rzr: I have no idea why you suspected botchi, you appeared town but at some point you have to dial the paranoia back.

gradiant: rip

storn: also did a good job projecting town early on but you have to speak more.

dbp: typical dbp projecting strong town, good job catching me out on the mechanical slip at the end

i think a lot of the issue w/ dlgn playing was that regardless of his actions, a lot of the time he would be scumread. like, he'd be in a lose lose situation, and people would just bestow wolfiness upon his actions.

the confirmation bias is super strong, and tunneling without considering any other points is pretty bad. the complete opposite, borderline schizophrenic paranoia is also bad though.

like, the only mechanically cleared player was botchi, i think (personally) i would have never let the "AA directs everything" fly from xiz at all lmao. Also, the first thing i said about dlgn being read scummy regardless of his choices was propogated very well by AA

oh I agree with those points. I found it pretty informative, though. it only took me a couple hours to completely come around on rzr being town and that persisted for most of the game until he started pushing the botchi stuff seriously lmao. I was a bit too assertive in trying to lead a paranoid town but I think the aggression side of it was ok, if a bit rude, which I'm sorry for (especially to rzr if he really didn't enjoy a significant part of the game because of it).

when i decided i wanted to fakeclaim, i realised that blowing up the kidz zone was the functionally best thing to do after the first mislynch

sure, i could have maybe convinced town to lynch botchi over me, but even if i did i'd be a sure lynch the next phase and kidz zone would have been available for the rest of the game

getting rid of a freezeproof room was better in every way than getting rid of the other freezeproof player, plus came with the added bonus of getting rid of a scary townie

I was gonna post something longer but honestly, I'm a bit too salty to do it properly.

Gonna tldr this:

AA / Tokzic: You guys are fucking monsters. I learned some things from you guys. I'm sorry for being the weakest link, though tbh I somewhat blame not being able to move at all because the theater is honestly stupid. A free kill is awesome, but there's not a reason to use it till you know the stalker is dead. Which who knows and just. I hated that role admittedly.

Botchi: I disagree with you calling me a potato. Especially when you didn't do much more, but when you tried to, arguably it was too late.

Round: Your meta post of me was well written I give you that, but as like Botchi, you were late. AA had been pinging me all goddamned game. I genuinely feel AA was more towny than anyone this game. And I KNEW he was scum the whole game, like that was grade A AA there. I would have been convinced and pocketed. I'm pretty sure of that.

Also did anyone notice the slip in AA posting our chat log?

Like am I the only one who sees the hindrance statement as being out of place? Because I never talk like that as far as I am aware.

the first of the two is something that, while it is a slip because you were talking to your partner about strategy, can be viewed as not being a slip because of how it is read, I think. Think of it like this, someone may be getting flak from someone else, neither knowing the others alignment, and they may respond with "I'll replace out if I/you think I am a hindrance." It just feels more out of place because of how you feel about your own meta to me.

EDIT: It can be viewed as a slip for you, like if someone showed it to me during the game I'd think it was super sketchy because you said it, but I could see some other players saying it as town.

the second one talking about "the whole town" and, by your own wording, not including yourself in the "town" is more obvious, though its not super apparent. Its something a lot of people just do by accident when scum.

Damn I thought for sure DBP had to be the last scum -- like I said if AA was the wolf we're all fucked lol. I also liked that I pegged Xel as the Movie Stalker because my logic was that the staler was most likely an inactive person to begin with, and that between storn/xel one of them had to be the stalker.

For the record, I didn't actually suspect Botchi nearly as much as I let on. I was looking for an opportunistic wolf to try to jump on that at the end, though I admit during the middle of the game I started to feel very uneasy about him. I really hope you come back botchi, and you too Xiz, I'd love to see another game out of you guys.

Tokzic, gratz, you had me pocketed real quick, good thing that shit hit the fan with V because I'd have taken a lot longer to come around on you than the others did. Xel, ay, still never gonna be able to peg that meta as town or scum either way lol.

YoshL, great game, fantastic dynamics/layout.

Roundbox, again, one of my favorite people to play with. I wish I had let my paranoia chill with you, I was just so convinced after d1 being slow lol. Good solving/planning.

Dlgn, again, I had a lot of fun. I hope you don't take anything personal and I hope if we play again we can have fun too. I think being a wolf partner with you would be a very interesting game lol.

Storn I would love to learn more about, same with Gradiant who I really with had more of a chance in this game.

Charu and backpack I really need to learn to read better. I don't think I really suspected Charu much, but had anyone else suspcted him it wouldn't have been hard to make some connections. Dap I think is a very good scum-hunter and I really enjoy seeing him work - I would be hard pressed to come up with some of the ideas he does. Same with V, I think I suspected him for only a moment if at all.

Finally, AA. I have to review whatever happened that made you "concede" that's crazy. Like I said at the start - we'd be screwed if you were scum. I mean come on, an AA/Tokzic/xel wolf team? That's like a death sentence to town haha.

How did you guys like the OOT? I loved it, reminded me of how it was when I first started playing - did you guys like it? Slack/Skype/AIM/whatever I'm impartial, but I would like to see OOT in a few more games!!

EDIT: Also, and I think you guys know this, that was probably my least active game ever. Sorry I got discouraged earlier on and being inactive - it's totally out of my character and I shouldn't let someone or something silly ruin how I explore the game or interact. This is why I need to start drinking again more ha

rzr, what happened is that I claimed after day start that I ended up in the main hall. dbp/AJ were in the theater. But then you claimed you got bumped out, which seemed like a really odd lie to tell, and then storn was going to claim he also went to the booth so both of you couldn't be lying which would leave me as the odd one out
