Something I thought of that might be useful:
With the implementation of the new favourites genre, it might be a good idea to have the option of putting a song into your favourites genre from the score screen. A lot of people use the songlist, so I know for me, when a new song comes out and I have to go ruffling through all the genres to find it and put it into the favourites genre it's usually just too much of a pain in the ass and I don't bother. Thought this might be a really useful idea for people.

Thinking about code it all seems very possible, just inefficient. I'm just not sure if you can jump to a particular frame in a swf. I don't really see why not though.

Edit: I have no idea what page I was replying to. It was about jumping to a spot in a replay.

The arrows are only spawned when they are needed following a timeline and the note array with the frame they need to spawn on.

The engine isn't designed to jump to sections of the song well. You could jump to sections, but any notes that would be partially toward the receptors would not be spawned.

If I where to spawn all the notes required for this, then the lag would be quite extreme.

A bug I noticed:



A little cut off, it was initially for a tourney SS. The combo obviously is wrong because I got misses. My actual max combo for that song was 655 on that run. Not sure if anyone else has seen this before. Is it because the combo that's on the replays is always the max combo for the song? If it's set this way, then why? Doesn't make sense.

Not really an important suggestions, but I think it would be a nice feature:

A vote +/- for forum posts. We have them for profiles (tho from what I understand -'s dont add into the number. But doing it for the forums (minus the idiots that would - everyone and everything) would let you see how much quality someone posts compared to how often they post.

What can I say? I'm a useless number whore...

for the max combo it shows the up to what the last arrow you played was. so if you played a song all the way through it'll show an fc and if you boo out it shows up until you boo out.

at least this is how i remember it being

Yea I started paying more attention to it and that's how it's set up. Kind of find it weird that it's set up this way and doesn't show the max combo that the person got instead of the total number of arrows that showed up on the screen.

just wondering if anything can be done to correct older replays from earlier than January 5th in order to playback like the current replays (automatically detecting mirror or non-mirror and removing that gay 0-0-1-1 shit)

asking because there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to snag a re-AAA on saddest or some of the other replays I currently have saved, and I actually used to watch those replays from time to time just for shits and giggles because I thought they were cool...but yeah, if nothing can be done to restore these to current settings, I'll probably just end up deleting them since they don't replay as AAAs

but otherwise, yeah, keep up the good work velo, ap, etc.

Fixing the replays could be possible, just time consuming. Detect Mirror would be impossible because that isn't saved with the settings like it is now.

With the introduction of the offset framers, maybe we could incorporate a sort of memory for them. Like, for each player, the game could remember a specific offset for each song. I find it kind'a annoying that I have to search through -1 and -2 and +1 and such offsets every time I play a song I haven't played in a while just to sync it. Although, this seems like a lot of work, and might not be entirely possible, so if it's too much just ignore it.

The whole recently played window is a giant bugfest. Probably easy to fix too.

MP bug: If you start playing a song in MP and you exit to the lobby, the song will keep playing in the background allowing you to get misses for the rest of the file. (idk if anyone else encountered this bug, but it happened to me once)
