MAD Pack 3 Feat. Mashups (Submissions Open)

Back by popular demand. Hilarity ensues.

Submissions are closed

Aiming for at least 30 files. This number is tentative, I'll change it to whatever I feel like pending on submission flow.

Song choices are not only limited to MADs originating from NND or YouTube—YouTubePoops qualify, but you should run the song choice by Kommisar or I first for approval. Also as the new feature suggests, song mashups are now acceptable, preferably if one of the songs is JaPaN. This is a very JaPaN themed pack after all.

If you can't provide your own file's graphics, I'll cover for them. Chances are, I'm going to be doing simple typographical banners like the one above, lol.

BG videos are not mandatory. If you wish to include them, please compress the video sizes to be reasonable. See bmah's post for a simple guideline here

some quick tips for compressing video sizes

First of all, get a program such as VirtualDub. This is what I use and will be using for these examples.

1. remove audio/sound from the video by disabling the stream
2. use a filter to resize the video into the proper dimensions for Stepmania (320x240). VirtualDub for instance has a resize filter in the many filters they have available. Make sure aspect ratio is not nearest neighbor...that's shit quality. Precise bilinear/bicubic is what you should use.
3. physically constrain the file size of the video by changing the bitrate. VirtualDub has a separate compression option in which you choose an encoder, such as DivX, of which the bitrate can then be modified. 512 kb/s is an appropriate bitrate. Much less and your video once again will be shit quality.

I'm only posting this here because I know videos really make the experience for these MAD packs
