If someone wants to host all the swf and xml files on a website somewhere, and make r3 xml files, that's fine. It'll be a lot to host though

I added FFRMania (Volume 2) to the first post - that's a pack with the latest batch of files that were added to FFRMania the other day.

i remember saying in 2007 that ffr should provide its players with sm pack converts both dump and not in a specific unscored genre for variety and exposure reasons

as well as adding rates

i was laughed at and called an idiot

and then i was vindicated for the next 8 years

For this project, yeah. What's your folder setup? You should have saffron.swf, the xml you're loading, and the levels directory in the same folder.

That said - I may have made some mistakes with zipping things up. If you open up an xml from one of my packs, you should see something like "<leveldir>levels/indeed</leveldir>", and that levels/indeed thing is a folder that should exist and should contain the swf's for that pack.

Here's another version, suitable for use online as a community/side engine:

This version uses a file called xmls.txt, which contains a list of all your XMLs (plus display names). Each line has one XML file's info and looks like this:
filename=displayname
Then, instead of letting people load arbitrary XMLs, the load menu has a dropdown with the display names you defined in the text file. The user can pick one, hit "load", and the engine will load the appropriate XML.

And this applies to both the offline and online versions: Saffron will keep track of the last XML you were using (with Flash local storage), but when you go on the engine for the first time it will load up default.xml. So you could put instructions for new players there, or just leave it empty for faster loading times.
