Profile Private = Pics redirect back to profile

I'm not exactly sure if this is a known bug or not, but I've finally figured out the thing that's been boggling my mind for quite a bit.

The problem is that people have their profile set to private, and they upload pictures. What's the big problem? Go to one of their profiles, providing you're on their friends list, of course... And try to view a pic of theirs. Ain't gonna happen, at least for me. I've confirmed this case with at least one other person already.

I tested my theory by setting my profile to private, and having someone click a picture to see it full-size. There's a redirect on the photo page that brings the user back to the profile.

Or... Is this actually a privacy feature in addition to the profile being private? If not, can it be fixed?

It's a known bug. For now, tell your friends if they want to upload pictures to publicize their profiles.
