Manga.
Do you guys buy Manga or do you read it online?
I myself buy them. I didn't used to, in fact I didn't even read manga before, but when I was in the mall and found a manga store I started buying them. Mostly because I like seeing manga organized alphabetically on my Table. x3 Personally I'd prefer buying them too. You don't finish the manga in a few days. Quality is better to me. Main reason is it'll take you time to end it because every volume releases monthly. Ad you have to collect some money before getting them. But reading online is fine with me If I didn't have a manga store or whatnot anywhere in my country. Oh. I don't know if the creators of the manga receive anything if people read it online. Do they? Other than more fans? So yeah. that's my point of view on buying or reading. The first manga I bought was Kuro****suji AKA Black Butler which was recommended to me by a friend. I bought up to 3 volumes now, and so far it's amazing. I also tried out Jack Frost, the artwork and details are great. Not so sure about the storyline yet.. It's quite confusing, but the action had me distracted from what the plot and so on. I also have Kuro - or shoulder-a-coffin. I'm not sure what it was called. The main reason I bought it was because of the adorable chibi twins on the back cover. And they are indeed cute. Not so sure about the plot yet. I only have the first volume. I have a few others but they're not so good.. Either way I'll continue to buy the manga's which I didn't like their first volume because.. It doesn't feel right to just keep it as one volume there. Oh, If you guys have any other suggestions as-well? I'm thinking of buying D. Gray man and Fullmetal alchemists, something to keep me occupied. And I don't like Naruto so I won't get that.. One piece is... Really long, so I don't think I'll get that anytime soon either. Ahaha. Well.. Enough of my blabbering and typing.. Give me suggestions and your point of views about Online or buying. ^^ |

Re: Manga.
For the Darker then black. It's here: http://www.mangareader.net/191-12720...chapter-1.html
^^ Happy readin'. Anyways.. I don't think I'll like Tsubasa or CLAMP too much.. x3 I don't know I think I'm looking for something unusual and unique. I bought Cat paradise and it's interesting, but a bit to child-ish I think. c: |

Re: Manga.
Thanks a million. I figured out a way to download every page at once so that I can read it offline to.

Re: Manga.
My pleasure.
Oh is it a program to download multiple pages at once? I've always wanted something like that. Not all mangas have the option to download the whole file. And of course I don't need the program for Mangas online. I need it for Doujins. c: |

Re: Manga.
I don't really know how to explain the process. Pretty much I wrote a program to general URL's to all of the pictures directly and then I used the firefox addon downthemall to download all of the links from a html file I made. You could maybe use microsoft excel to generate the links if you know what I'm talking about. |

Re: Manga.
Saving every page is way to painful for me. I usually only like serious/action animes/mangas so I'd suggest battle royale. You might not like that though.

Re: Manga.
Y'er right. I don't think I will like it much, I'm sort of obsessed with details. most of the time when the front cover doesn't catch my eye because the art style is bland and dull. Then I don't even mind to read the plot - summary and so on.
Black Butler or Kurosh itsuji. And Jack Frost both have a good amount of detail in them and the storyline of Black Butler is good. Some people complaint on Black Butler that one of the main characters Ciel is 12, but most of the time he is sad, so they say that it's stupid that a 12 year old child is sad. I mean, If they read up till volume 3. They'd know that his family died in a fire in the mansion, along with him almost. And someone else dies from his family. But I won't spoil it for anyone who isn't there yet. Aha. So I think he has the right to be sad. xD Jack Frost I like so far because of how bad ass Jack Frost is. So far from volume 1 what I understand is that he is death and only he can have a soul escape from Amityville which the people currently reside in. I think AmityVille is sort of like the line in-between Heaven and Hell. The rejected souls to say, But I'm not sure. I suggest you these two mangas. They both have action in them. Black Butler has more Drama & a hint of Comedy sometimes when people go into Chibi form so to say. Jack Frost substitutes the Drama with Perverted comedy I think. xD And the combat scenes in the Manga look amazing, so when you just imagine it in Detail frame by frame in your head you get an amazing battle. If they do make an Anime, I'm not sure if there is one yet I'll definitely watch it for the battles. c: Happy manga readin' to ya! :O Last edited by Magooskie; 11-15-2010 at 01:23 PM.. Reason: Aha. The name of Black Butler manga in japanese was censored |

Re: Manga.
I buy manga. Mangaka don't just create stuff for people to pirate, it's their way of making a living. I hate and disrespect anyone that pirates manga. Plus it's not a good idea to link to sites like that, publishing companies in Japan got real serious about this stuff just a few months ago. You'll pretty much get your ass sued off if you're caught with pirated manga or distributing pirated manga, no matter what country you're in.
Anyway, I haven't bought any in like a year cause I've been spending money on other things. One of my favorite series is in the process of being released in North America so I'll wait until they're all out. Shouldn't take long I guess. I'm also subscribed to an online manga magazine which releases a new issue monthly with quite a few different manga chapters from different series. It's pretty interesting IMO, doesn't cost a lot either. I'll edit my post later with the link if anyone is interested; and yes, it's legit. They sell volumes on their site too. |

Re: Manga.
I usually buy them, but I understand why people download them as purchasing them could end up leaving you with so many incomplete series and collections.
It's even worse when the distributors go out of business half way through a series you're enjoying, or that you're still waiting for volumes to be finished or translated (Eden: It's An Endless World! is an example of this - well, the last few volumes are unavailable in the UK anyway). That, and there's the issue of price - I bought the first volume of MPD Psycho for about £10 and loved it. With the intention of purchasing the other volumes, I search for them on Amazon only to find that all the other volumes will cost about £40. I do enjoy manga, and I do have the intention of completing - and expanding - my collection, but until then, I'm going to need to make do with what I have. The first mangas I got were for christmas, and they were Bus Gamer (it was a flop, but since it was the first manga I read, I actually hold it quite close to me) and Basilisk Volumes 1 and 2. I've managed to gain an interest in other series such as Akira and Death Note (obligatory), but I've also collected Legal Drug, Battle Royale, XS, and as I've said before, I own the first volume of MPD Psycho and the first four volumes of Eden: It's An Endless World!. And that's about it for me, really. |
