Arch0wl's Quest to be Immortalized in League of Legends

Greetings, Stepmen and Stepwomen.

As you probably don't know and have never cared to know, League of Legends is an online, extremely nerdy video game. What's even nerdier is they have something of a pyramid scheme where if you refer a friend, you get free goodies to your main account. The rewards get better as you go on; 500 referrals gets your name on a "wall of fame" in their office.

Here's where it gets interesting.

Once you've referred 1,000 people to the game, they name something in the game after you.

I am not ****ing with you.

For a referral to count, a person needs to have played the equivalent of five games. I am not asking you to do that for me.

Instead, here's my plea: go to http://signup.leagueoflegends.com/?r...13860842739189 and actually try out the game. Just... give it a good 15 minutes of your time. If you like it, continue playing, and a referral will eventually get to me. If you hate the game, no hard feelings.

Now, if I haven't annoyed you enough, join hands with me on my quest for the most superficial and trivial sort of narcissistic indulgence I've ever pursued. Together, we will be legendary.

I've never heard of this game, just to throw that out there. And I don't plan on playing it either, addicted to to many things right now. This is just to show that there are people who haven't heard of it Mr. lobster.

Getting a referral leveled up to the point where it counts takes about two hours. Some people have done this with the 10-referral reward. However, it's simply not feasible to do this with hundreds of accounts.

Moreover, for something like this the Riot team has to actually check your legitimacy. They would not add a component to the game named after someone who simply referred himself 1000 times.

Request party 4u -holy nite mix- v2, Revolutionary Etude and Flight of the Bumblebee to be taken out of FFR and I'm personally going to find you your 1000 referrals asap. Not even kidding.

Alternative: Consider creating a Facebook event or something along those lines.

I feel like they might throw you a bone for sheer commitment.
