meh... i don't feel much for the anime. i prefer being exposed to the first medium in which the media was presented before everything else. so, i'll stick to the manga for now....

but once i'm done with that, i'll get back to the anime.

I don't want to watch past 30. I'm going to wait till I have time, the impact of the first 30 where too "OMG WHAT HAPPENS NEXT" for me to handle. Just didn't have time. I also want to watch other anime. I'll get back into it on the weekend.

I have really been enjoying it so far. Luffy makes me laugh loads. Specially when he laughs with that huge grin after taking what looks like loads of damage, as if to say "lol, no chance mate". I love Sanji. He's really cool. I pretty much like all of the cast apart from Nami. I don't hate her. I just don't think anything of her. Anyway. Cool anime.

Edit: Episodes 24-25, Oh my god.

Hmm... wow I hate the American version but just reading this I might actually watch One Piece. I just have a question, how many filler episodes are there? Cuz I watched like 150 episodes of Naruto and just got bored and quit.

In terms of episodes that aren't part of the storyline, I say fewer than 10% of the total count.

I think there are 20-25 episodes. However, it's not all at once and most of the time you never even know it's filler.

even the filler episodes are rockin in one piece.

if regular episodes were snowboarding, one piece filler episodes would be having a cup of hot chocolate at the lodge.

like a break from awesome that is totally cool in its own right.

Going to get it back on the open sea tomorrow. Downloads should be done by then. Episodes 30 onwards here I come. Question. I'm guessing there are sort of saga's in one piece. Is the next one a long one?

~12 episodes for 31+.

Technically you're still in one arc and have been since the start of the show. Until episode 61, that is. It's just that these are smaller pieces of the arc working it all together.

After this section, you have some minor episodes (no real theme to them, but still not filler), then about 5 filler episodes. Then starts the other arc. That arc doesn't end until the 130s or so. But again, it's broken into smaller pieces, the largest of which is only ~30 episodes long.

I made a terrible mistake. I forgot to take pictures of every ridiculous face I see. They're what made this anime GOLDEN.

Lol, I'm one of those people who started with a prejudice against One Piece. I first learned of it when my Korean cousin introduced my sister to the manga version of the series. They both seemed to love it, but I was still young and the material wasn't suitable for me. A few years later, I learned that the manga had come to America and was now even a TV anime. Coincidentally, I ended up watching it at one point in time. However, I stared in agony as I realized the horrible mess the anime was. I lasted through one and a half episodes, and couldn't last any longer. The corniness burned my eyes. Yet, one of my friends seemed to like the show, and I didn't understand, so I just refused to watch it any more. Another year later, I found my sister watching it online. I asked her how she could stand such a stupid anime, and she replied that it was funny. I sat next to her, and ended up becoming obssessed with it. I can't wait for 292 to be subbed. =)

I'm so glad I didn't fall into that trap. I was convinced by one of my friends that it was a stupid kiddy show with crappy animation. But that was the English version they saw.

The moment I touched the Japanese version, it was heaven. It still is.

Odd reason for a bump, but I assumed it would be difficult to get all the episodes from YouTube.

But, well, there they are. I searched for "One Piece episode xx" and found the episode. Low quality, of course, but there and streamed. Much faster than ... other means.

And you were all like, "I download an episode of Naruto in 3 minutes." One Piece isn't that much bigger but I suppose it does have less people per... you know.

On another relevant side note, I'm sick of how stupid people are at my school. Everyone there is so convinced that long anime is stupid. They won't even touch it because it is over 26 episodes long. I would say, "scru u", but these people are my friends. Not only that, everyone at my school seems to like Naruto so much better and is loyally following it. I give the manga some credit but seriously, the anime?

Other excuses I hear often are, "the art sooks", "it's a kiddie show", "they're fases r gay". The best part is, they've seen the Japanese anime.

My cooler friends almost all agree with me that One Piece is the best.

well one piece isnb't a bad anime but i've watched animes from 199'ish to the ones tht just came out in 2007 and in my opinion one piece could've been better plotwise, manga is definatly better , but they butchered the english anime

Meh, 295 is taking so long to be subbed. -.- Also, episodes 60-99 disappeared or something. Can't find most of them.
