Even if you don't like his music, you can't doubt who influential he was. Music has significantly changed since Nirvana, whether Nirvana sounded good or bad.

I don't think anybody ever has the right to say music is bad (EDIT: as a fact). Nothing can really define good music, it is solely based on opinion. An exception to this rule is rap

People definitely have the right to say music is bad.
Yes it's based on opinion, and some opinion says that certain music is bad. As in, "I think grunge is extremely bad." (emphasis added for effect.) Now, when people try to turn that into more of a fact, and force their opinion on other people, that's bad. As in, "No, you're wrong. grunge is bad, for sure. Only stupid people listen to grunge, and that's a fact."
