Post Our Community

I would like to point out something that is not to offend or insult anyone, but to convey what I think and felt to FFR Community (perhaps, the whole system on the internet). There are times when it is plausible to ignore a person whether it is reality or on net chatting; however, it is not okay and it is very rude to ignore a person when the person did nothing and only give neutral or positive thoughts/comments. As I said before, I'm not doing this to offend or insult anyone, I just want people to know that there are times and limits where you have to stop being so ignorant or make a fool out of yourself (I'm not sure if that is correct word to use, but I'm sure you people understand what I mean). I will give one made-up example that can actually happen; a newbie person that just started FFR and wish to communicate and make friends with people online (I'm sure this is similar to Facebook to so it is not a silly thing to do). The newbie person does not know what to say until the newbie person see whatever he/she post that could be a good conversation started. The newbie person message a compliment to the stranger who has been on FFR for more than 3 years and apparently, a very skilled FFR Player. As the newbie person sent the message, the newbie waited, waited... and waited, but no reply was made. The newbie person soon gets to his/her profile, and realized that he/she deleted "your" comment only (not any other, but just yours). Surely if the person held a grudge against you or some kind of troll or for a specific reason, then sure; however, the newbie person did nothing like that, all the newbie wanted was to communicate and make friends. Anyway, my point is, don't ever ignore a person unless for a specific reason (not excuse, such as "because he/she is a newbie"). I'm just a bit let down and disappointed in those that does that for no particular reason aside for excuses. Also, this does not just apply to FFR, but also other internet site and reality too.

It seems like you've had a few bad experiences (assuming you are speaking out of experience) with some people here. The people you ask or talk with about things on here drastically affects the responses you'll receive and how long it'll take to get them.

In short don't take it personally or that it's because you're a "noob" or something. Some people are just mindless when it comes to things or don't want to help. It just happens sadly.

That all being said, welcome to FFR's forums. I hope you don't think overwhelmingly negatively of the whole community. Hopefully you'll find a few good reads and hang out for a while. If you need to know something, ask me and if I can't help you I'll try to guide you to someone who can. Though, I make no promises that they will / actually can.

you're better off talking in chat or something like that if you want someone to respond to everything, because some people like their profile to be reserved for people they know, or some people don't really check it, or whatever. it's not personal against you, it's just some people use their profiles in different ways, and that might not involve talking to people they don't know.

People have the right to do whatever they want on their profiles as long as it isnt illegal/against forum rules.

Sorry bro, some people are mean.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your concern and effort for writing some of your thoughts down. I do not have any particular grudge or anything, I just feel a bit disappointing and a bit worried of the world we live in. There goes without being said, I don't think FFR Community is a bad place though, it actually quite warming and nice in a way. As I said before, unless it is very reasonable reason to ignore a person/group such as annoyance or believing that person is dangerous (with reasonable evidence that points that direction) or a person having difficulty talking to another person.group, then sure, but in my case was different. I did absolutely nothing to offend, insult, and any negative thought to "that" person, other than complimenting on certain aspect or questioning thoughtfully out of my curious mind. Basically, I was just being friendly...

So you think people who don't respond to you right away are trolls?

@Calcium Deposit uh... no. O_o where did you even pick up that from. I said "The newbie person soon gets to his/her profile, and realized that he/she deleted "your" comment only (not any other, but just yours). Surely if the person held a grudge against you or some kind of troll or for a specific reason, then sure;" I think you might have misunderstand me here, I was giving out the plausible or specific reason why a person would ignore another person and that reason could be because "the person is a troll"... I'm sorry if I did not explain correctly. Obviously, if a troll were to comment on your profile, you would either ignore them or tell them to stop his/her nonsense (at this time, it pretty much your choice to ignore or not because "trolls" are usually mischievous people that love to joke around in a non-humorous way. I won't go as far as to saying they are evil, cruel, or bad people, but that they are people that wants attention in a ridiculous way. Another way of saying is that "trolls" love to verbally cause harm, in which, most people do not like; therefore, ignore their action because it is meaningless to talk their way in since "troll" do not usually have conscience when they are trolling if I am correct.

And the person who deleted your comment did not respond to you via the profile wall or private message?

In any case, sounds like you've just come across someone who was mildly unreasonable to you. It's a small thing that's commonplace around the internet and other social mediums. Is it any different than a stranger sending me an email and I delete it without response?
I'm not saying it's any sort of sincere action, but you just have to shrug it off and not take it personally.

You didn't say it directly but it was implied. It's not a problem with the community as a whole if somebody doesn't want to talk to you at the moment, it's just a problem with them. And if it's several or even many people doing this... well... to put it bluntly, maybe its you.

But then again yes some people are dicks oh well, if they're dicks youre better off not being friends with them anyway

@bmah it was the comment wall, but I'm pretty much over it. I just wish I can convey the message to everybody and understand what I am trying to say because it happens, just like accident happens. It's not just internet, but in person too. Anyway, I'm truly thankful for your concern though. Of course, everybody to especially for those who actually have been in a similar situation as mine.

I see where your going at. I do understand that people have moments (it's not just me) and those moments they want to be alone for awhile. Either that or they have not been online for awhile. That I understand, but the point was I comment on this person profile and the person deletes (my comment only, no other else). I understand that everyone has the right to do whatever they like to do on their profile that is legal/legitimate, but this person deletes (mine only), that's kind of offensive or insulting in a way despite that I did nothing, but compliment their profile (in a friendly way, if I may add)...

I don't think there's much else to say other than to skim through those minor details and enjoy the site as a whole. Talk to other people and have a good time. *shrugs*
