Default A month and a half left.

Of school. (HOPEFULLY)
I need to vent. Maybe there's some magic potion or something I can drink that you guys know about to get this all fixed.

I'm stressed like ****. I can't handle this. I'm only taking 3 classes (well 5 technically, but one is you only meet every other saturday for 2 hours, the other is work)
I have classes monday and wednesday. I work tuesday and thursday. I get home for all four days at 4. I get up at 7 am. Ohio history is the only class that is really taking up my time every day - so much hw (read 40 pages, then do assignemnt and quiz). THe other two classes (torts and business) i need to pass in order to graduate. I filled out my graduation application and all that jazz in november. Apparently I'm supposed to hear something about it in april.
Anyway, Spring break is here. Doesn't matter htat it's spring break, I have to study for the business midterm that's next monday (Yes, i'm failing that class. The assignments I guess I just dont get??) I don't know. I'm redoing the assignments for her to look over - I want to get that done tomorrow night. I don't get any extra credit, but I want to get feedback before the midterm. I've also been doing extra credit (1 pt for each case analysis. She picks sutdents randomly and you have to read it aloud. You gotta make sure that you understand the cases or else you dont get any points)
I also have a torts paper due in early April - I havent had really time to do research for it, so I'll be spending this week researching and starting to type it up (hopefully). It's supposed to be at least 7 pages long. I've only found one case that's about my subject.
Then there's the ohio history paper that's also due in april. That's also supposed to be at least 7 pages long. I have the books and i want to so badly get started on it, but torts is more important. I dunno. I feel like I shouldn't until I crack down on the torts paper.
I still have to work this Tuesday and Thursday. My co-worker quit so I'll be taking more tasks , which actually I'm tahnkful for, the last couple of weeks I've been feeling useless in the office. It's still not "paralegal" stuff, but whatever. Can't have everything right?
If I don't pass my classes, I'll have to redo this whole semester in the fall. I don't want to do that. I really really really really really don't. I feel like a failure guys and I've been trying to just enjoy the last 3 or so days into just doing absolutely nothing. I started actually doing hw today and the stress is just too much.
Also, I'm at 13 credits, (12 for full time student). If I drop below 12, I'll have to start paying back my loans. No more financial aid. I can't just simply "drop a class", in since 2 of the classes are dependant on graduation, or whatever. I dont know how to explain this, my mind is scrambled.
There's probably a person or a mob of people out there who read this who are thinking "lol you have it easy". I just...I don't know..how to handle this. I've never failed a class before and I don't want to withdraw (withdrawal date is april). I pretty much feel like drowning and I can't handle this at all.
Is there some way I can get all this shit done this week while managing to have some free time left?
I just feel like a complete failure. My family's supportive and know I'm failing the business class, and they say that it's not the end of the world - I'll just take it next semester.
Still.
That'd be starting my 4th year....for a 2 year degree? Like what the ****?? I couldve just gotten a 4 year degree, with much higher loans.
I'm so so so SO sorry for just, puking this up on the forums. I figure:
A) It'll be locked
or
B) it'll be deleted
or
C) people will help
or
D) People will be assholes.
Whatever the case, I've been trying to push this stress/problem aside and not shit all over my FB/twitter/ everywehre about this whole mess because it's so negative, but I can't keep it in amymore. :l
Help. Please.
<3

TL: DR; If you didn't read, then don't bother posting.

I guess what i'm trying to get at, is that I need to know that it's possible to graduate this semester, that there's still hope. I feel like there's not light at the end of the tunnel and it feels awful.

EDIT: Thank you guys <3 You're the best!

Hey Bri!! Calm down and take a moment to breathe!!

Now that that's done, here's what I'm going to say. There is no harm in staying an extra semester. Take as much time you need to graduate. Of course I'm not implying that you should blow your studies away but just try your best this semester! If all fails, what's the harm in staying for one more semester?

EDIT: Possibly financial reasons, but that shouldn't be any burden to hinder your education.

I guess none, it just really sucks. I had this all planned so I could just be done with this semester. /sigh. I guess there is no harm. It just sucks that all this hard work will be for nothing if I don't graduate. I'll try and calm down...I'm just at a breaking point. It's so close, yet I feel so far away from what I want to achieve.

Let me tell you about my schedule in the second half of my 12-week Summer 2010 semester...

-----
-I had three major essays to write in my Freshman Comp class II, involving a lot of reading and at least 2,000 words of material each extending a good 4-5 pages each. These essays were due every other week, and the teacher was not lenient in grading.

-I had a major project to do in my Humanities class that took most of the day to complete. It involved taking a tour of a museum and analyzing the various artifacts and/or pieces of artwork and how they related to everything we had learned over the semester.

-I had to write, prepare and give two major speeches in my Speech class. One was an informative speech, the other persuasive. In addition to needing large amounts of citations I had to re-write the persuasive speech because the topic was too broad, according to my teacher (who was actually a really nice guy). These speeches each took hours to write and rehearse.

-I had to complete my Biology class, which wouldn't be so bad except the tests were hard as **** and it required an insane amount of reading on fairly advanced concepts primarily regarding the human body. The tests had no multiple choice - all answers had to be known beforehand. Most of the kids in that class failed - I think I was one of the only ones to get an A.

-In my history class, I had to read about 50-60 pages a week worth of material. Essays were written every few weeks, including quizzes and in-depth discussions we had to complete/participate in each week. The essays were between 2,000-3,000 words apiece.

-This is in addition to the other classes I was taking at the time including the first 6 weeks (which wasn't much easier), totaling 18 credit hours in a 12-week semester (the first 6 weeks I had a class in which I had to read a 320-page book in 6 weeks, complete all tests associated with it AND do group projects as well). Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks but the Summer semester is condensed, pushing the work schedule even closer together than it already was.
-----

I completed all my classes in that time with straight As. Trust me, the above was not typed to brag about my achievements, but to give you hope that even the most rigorous work loads can be completed in a timely and effective manner. There were a few moments where I almost panicked at the most intense sections, but I managed to pull through. And just as I did, so can you.

I did. Proper time management dude - I admit that I am a procrastinator at heart. But when shit gets rough, I've always managed to buckle down and get it done. Visualization is key - write down all the assignments that you need to complete. Then, start from the top and cross them out one by one as you complete them. It sucks to get started at first, but as you can physically see the progress you make, you begin to gain momentum, and by the time you stop you'll have done what seemed like days or even weeks of work in the space of a day.

Plus, you'll free yourself up and have your much-deserved free time as well. Always leave time for yourself - if you drown yourself in work constantly you'll end up doing worse over the long run. The law of diminishing returns, my friend.

Yeah - I have a hw schedule I follow every week, but lately I've just been burning out. v.v; It's so easy to go "screw it, I'll put it off til tomorrow". Before I knew it, it was two days later. I usually follow my hw schedule pretty well...I just wish I had that momentum to keep up with my hw during the day. Especially during this doomsweek. -.-;

There's those times where it's impossible to handle the stress of school, we've all been there. I don't really have good advice since I just slacked off and only did enough work to pass my classes. Perhaps you can try sitting at the front of the class to lessen your studying since some of the points your teacher will say *might* stick. This has worked for me in college since I'm too lazy to study. When it comes to reading it's hard to buckle down and keep concentrated.

Right now you seem like a role model by passing everything and doing your best to keep up. Maybe if I get a good grade it'll be dedicated to you since you need a break.

When school is over, we'll all have a giant sigh of relief. I wish you good luck on passing your classes and getting the credits!

Nicotine gum and caffeine to focus, pot to relax yourself. If you don't mind screwing up your body for years to come.

I have 17 classes right now and had 17 exams in a row (one every day) last semester before Christmas.

Here's how I did it:

Set out time blocks. You want to dedicate most of your time to studying, but do NOT study all day long. Schedule times when you can stop studying and work towards those. Work hard so you feel like you deserve them and can take time away from studying without feeling guilty.

Caffeine. Energy drinks can do it. Consume copious amounts and tackle this shit head on. If you're feeling drained of energy, take time out of your day to do a 30 minute workout and make sure you're eating healthy. It'll make all of the difference. Do NOT resort to junk food. It'll save you time in the long run if you keep a hold on your health, because you'll be able to work that much harder.

Realize that it will all end soon and that your hard work will pay off in the end. You can always find more time if you believe in yourself. I had exams where I had literally no time left in my current day to study. So, I took a sleeping pill to go to bed early, set my alarm for 4 in the morning and crammed like my life was on the line in the morning. It was messy, but it worked, and I got through it.

PS Day[9] is awesome.

I still have to finish this semester (in school 5 days a week taking 7 classes), then I'm taking a part-time field placement in the summer, a course I forgot to take in first semester and I have to retake a course that I failed in first semester. After that, I have to figure out what I'm doing for my second (and hopefully last) year. It may be likely I'll be taking an extra semester to a whole year to catch up all my credits.
