New Website Concept - guessthatalbum.com

Hello all my FFR friends!

I recently finished work on a new website, Guessthatalbum.com, and I thought that I would tell you guys about it since you are all big music fans (at least most of you). The concept is based around a tried-and-true forum game called "MS Paint Album Covers" or something similar. Basically, you draw album covers with the title and artist redacted, and other people guess what they are.

On my site, you gain points for doing those things. Who doesn't like points? Nobody. There is nobody in the world who doesn't like gaining points.

Currently the most-guessed album is this one, but there a bunch of easy ones there. Right now there isn't much in the way of Japanese music, so that's why I'm advertising a bunch of places, so I can get a diverse range of music genres.

(If advertising isn't allowed here, mods can feel free to delete this thread and ban me forever. Well, maybe not forever).

ohhh interesting, but are there mods that control each drawing of an album to make sure no random genitals pop up somewhere? that's like the first thing I wondered when I looked at all these album paintings for some odd reason, rip

Should really be able to check for keywords or accept alternate answers. Having incorrect guesses on dumb obvious albums because either you don't know how precise you have to be or the artist formatted it incorrectly is bull.
Otherwise I'm hooked, this is neat.

Having a way to give input to other users would be great so I could have a proper way to tell rayword his AFX entry blows.

lmfao I know that (and I know my art skills lick smegma) but I'm just trying to play the game

also the editor is painfully limited i could've made it 30% more tolerable with the ability to create a clean circle

I might do like Choof and paint blank albums only. Safer that way.

Yep, that's the downside. Sometimes I know the answer but I need to make an appeal. But sometimes I make a typo and it registers good... If it could register answers like Massive Music Quiz does, it would be an improvement.

There has to be some way to prevent people from just uploading random images. Draw a few easy ones and then you can unleash your Paint-borne masterpiece upon the world!
