Re: AMA Whatever
You know, kind of weird right now. My emotional life is constantly in a flux that's hard to control, and I'm full of self doubt and loathing.
So, actually, not that weird.

Re: AMA Whatever
I'm a big fan of science fiction and mystery, although when I write them I never write hard sci-fi or hard mysteries. I'm a big fan of brit-wit (Douglas Adams, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie) so I try to incorporate dry, observational humor into most of what I write. I've been drifting back into playwriting recently, though, because it's more immediate and I'm awful at describing things.

Re: AMA Whatever
You're playing poker with a tiger, a raccoon, an owl, a crocodile, and an ant. You're holding Ad 7d and the flop is 6d 7s 6h. The tiger slams the table with its paw really, really hard (that means it checks). The raccoon slowly and uneasily bets the minimum. The owl is motionless for a while and folds. The crocodile immediately folds. The ant shoves all-in, very very slowly, by moving its chips to the middle of the table one at a time, because, of course, it's an ant. You have about 3x as much as the ant does. Do you fold, call, raise, or run screaming?
How did humans figure out that they could drink cow milk? How good were you at ffr back in late 2003? If you had a lawn and one-half of the grass had been spray painted green in such a way that you couldn't tell which half it was by sight, how would you determine as quickly as possible which half was painted and which half wasn't?
