Wow. A wild and wacky couple of games we just had. Louisville forced to switch gears by Wichita State, but still grinds out a 70-66 victory. Then Michigan somehow holds off Syracuse to win 61-56 with a couple of incredible out-of-bounds saves!

And now, for the infamous side game. Louisville is drawing strength from the loss of Kevin Ware, but the problem is he was one of their best players on the defensive end. Michigan for their part committed 3 straight turnovers at one point and has a very strong backcourt duo. I'm splitting the pot 90-10, now, with the 10K going to the winner of the following side game, if only to give you schmucks something to do. One or two of us might have picked Louisville, but NOBODY had Michigan going this far iirc.

I'm not sure how the usual tiebreaker of predicting the final score works, so I'm going to go with something more objective...estimating the combined score of the two teams in the national final on Monday night.

In case anyone is still following this, I'm going to put my guess at Louisville and Michigan combining for 130 points.

They very well could...Wichita State was up by as many as 12. Losing Kevin Ware really hurt Louisville on the defensive end, but they've been a second-half team all tournament. It's going to be a very interesting title game.

I'd say they're at a slight disadvantage. Plus it's Louisville's storybook year with Ware breaking his leg. I think if they were to play this game 10 times Louisville would win 6-7/10

EDIT: Not sure who finished with the most points from here, but my top bracket currently has 112 and the potential to have 144. (Michigan winning it all)

Wish me luck.
