Quick and dirty solution: Change your homepage to what you want. Just after you change it back, keep[ the window open. Then, lock your homepage.

Tools, Internet Options. It's right there. It wasn't spyware; you probably just clicked on something that said "would you like to change your homepage to our crappy site?" Don't do that anymore. It's bad.

If you're not a completely computer illiterate fool, you can manually delete stuff. Look in program files for odd programs. Also look in windows\downloaded programs....something like that. check the properties of each one and you can find out which ones to delete. HiJackThis is also good to have.

alot of evil spyware crap hides in the windows system files, too, which makes them hard to find. easiest thing is to search your computer for anything containing the text of whatever website it keeps setting your browser to.

also, make sure that ad-aware has the most recent updates. every time i update it catchs at least 10 things that it didnt see before.

i just hope u can kill that evil spyware crap.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

I was j ust about to say, use Spybot Search & Destroy but someone beat me to it.

Also, if IE keeps bugging up, try a different browser such as Firefox. That'll just avoid the problem altogether.

http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10122137.html
that's for spybot s&d
adaware can be found at
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Hope you get everything worked out

Edit: I meant to say this earlier... DO NOT REFORMAT!!!! That is way too much work and is not necesary for this problem... Reformating is always the LAST thing you want to do. Avoid doing that at all costs
