A panel of judges is fine for accepting submissions and all, but you should still have a select few people who aren't all that great at arrow smash games to play the pack's files before release and let them leave their commentary/feedback. Having any "veteran" players and simfile authors play testing files prior to release should be absolutely out of the question considering your target demographic.
I asked my brother if he'd be down to play this pack after it's completed, but he might even be down to playtest some files. I'll check with him.

ok as a player who has made over 30+ quad files i should definitely playtest/judge some of the files in this pack

I actually like the idea of a chart for complete newbies. I remember the first day I tried four finger I couldn't even hit simple jumps bcuz coordination too fucking hard. Also minijacks were impossible for like 6 months.

welp, debating on sending Mudkip over. Might revamp Mudkip heavy in most parts of the file. But it has 4 charts so won't have to worry about making multiple charts zzz

Also probably sending
1) monocyclefromhell (going to have maybe 3 charts. Main kb chart is going to be in oni, others are going to be in standard & light, which are mainly intended for this pack)
2) Bgrusko Meow (3 charts as well)

I really like this idea. I'll definitely contribute some songs to this, although I have a feeling I'm going to have trouble finding the middle-ground for this pack, haha.

What about your Roxas file? That would be perfect for this pack.

I actually forgot about that lmao. But the problem is making a chart easier/harder than what it's already is...

Eh, should we cover a large range of difficulty with charts or 2/3 charts with "medium" difficulty? I've made heavy and oni charts on the file I'm submitting, but idk if I should go down to light (or maybe beginner).

Go on, it's encouraged to cater to everyone in the spectrum :3

Make an easier chart to more "emphasized" notes maybe?

already have like 70% of a Ke$ha file for this gEt HyPe (you're welcome, blind)

also I'm pretty much in agreement with Ji on this, the target audience should be players in the intermediate range who aren't quite good enough to play advanced packs like ODI/DCP/SMG but can comfortably play...say, most of the easier files in the FFR Community Packs.

yeah so making 2 charts shouldnt be TOO hard, one for upper-intermed players and one for lower players who cant quite handle VCs that well

if your file has 1 really good chart though, we'll let that in - probably only if the chart is the perfect difficulty for both intermediate & beginner players

Maybe I'll try to submit the song I just started working on. It doesn't seem like it's going to turn out too terribly difficult. Though I'm super n00by when it comes to stepping things so it might suck, I dunno XD

This rule right here is why I don't submit to more packs. I hate forcing an extra chart. I'll just adjust a quote that I think is appropriate for this: "Charting is like a fart. If you have to force it, it's probably shit."
