yes, you can just go hold on bub this isn't ok there was some toxic shit here that didn't need to be here ~The Staff

then there's at least a time and date reference and some semblance of a reason for anyone who decides to go looking, and it also saves some rigamarole playing the inevitable "why was X banned?" game that always happens

Most of the angriest noisiest people are just as angry at the idea of mods editing their posts as they are with posts getting deleted.

I don't think I saw a single argument as to why they shouldn't delete posts in this thread but maybe I missed something.

Edit: oh ok yeah derailing threads or making arguments seem out of context, fair enough.

it's easy to misinterpret criticism as personal attacks if someone is criticizing something you put effort into.
This is fair but usually if you're not acting maliciously, people on the outside can see that

when you're falsely accused of harassment the mods can intervene and say "this is within her right to say"

if you've actually said something bad, for me at least it comes down to "are you willing to accept that you said something bad, and have you attempted to curb this behavior"

just my 2c

Only staff members can see deleted posts and the reason for deleting them.

I don't know of a way that vBulletin can make a deleted post public without showing the username. Even then, that's something that would have to be discussed with the mod team. If a post was deleted, it's an indication that the thread is better off without those posts (the reasons can vary).

We enjoy pressing directions because we lack direction ourselves; the void is then filled with patterns that make sense to us in an otherwise chaotic world.

Or so my overactive imagination would have you believe

Personally I like to think the hobby of doing the same thing all day pressing the same buttons to notes and seeing flashy colours just appeals to autistic people hence our community being lolffr

I mean at least that's why I know I like it, it satisfies my autism.

Like yo Celirra shut up lmfao, u haven't provided a single argument to why you give a shit about deleted posts other than "omgggg don't delete them"

My impression is you are a loser who judges people constantly based on their past actions, so your brain craves for a record of how people acted so you can judge them more

At the end of the day rofl shut up, you haven't provided a single logical reason as to why we Can't delete posts, the impression I get is that you literally just want to read old posts and judge people off them rofl

Like lmao who gives shit, if the admins wants to delete posts that only they can view omgggg deal with it lmaooo guess you'll have to build relationships of actual interaction rather than moronic research and over analyzing people's past posts even tho uhhh guess what plot twist people change xdddd

it would be a lot easier to read dingle's arguments without rofl or lmao popping up every 5 words. if you can even call them arguments. it's mostly just shit-talking.

my two cents: there's a list of rules everyone accepts when they make an account and hop onto the forums. if rules are broken, delete the messages, move on with your life. do people change? of course. no point judging people for things they've done in the past. buuut this thread mostly just turned into pointless bickering back and forth.

let the mods do their job, show respect both ways, and everything should be fine. ez pz.
