Speeding up Firefox...
This is a tweak to enable pipelining which I only recently learnt about, which will usually give a speed boost to Firefox's rendering of pages, at a very small sacrifice to rendering stability (some old servers don't support it), but I haven't come across any pages that do this yet.
To get started, type "about:config" in your Firefox address bar. The settings you're looking for are: 1.) network.http.pipelining 2.) network.http.pipelining.firstrequest 3.) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests 4.) network.http.proxy.pipelining Set #1, #2 and #4 to true. Set #3 to 8. That's it You should see an increase in your rendering. |

You know, this is disabled by default for a reason.
Knew about it a long time ago, anyway. |
