Super Meat Boy

Super Meat Boy is this new game I just picked up and man this thing is freaking amazing.
It's genre is a platformer and was originally on Newgrounds so the animation and storyline are a great laugh throughout the game.
So far it's pretty humorous and a real addicting game.
I got it for only 800msp so that's not too bad. I'd recommended playing the demo to see if you like it. It's overall rating from a bunch of reviewers was 9/10.

The game sees players taking on the role of a small, skinless, cube-shaped boy named Meat Boy, who must save his girlfriend, Bandage Girl, from the evil Dr. Fetus. Players must guide Meat Boy to the end of each level, using his wall clinging ability, while avoiding buzzsaws, salt, and other various death bringing obstacles. The core gameplay can be compared to many traditional platformers such as Mega Man and N, requiring fine control and split-second timing. The game contains about 350 levels, which are split across various chapters. Levels in each chapter can be played in any order, but a certain number of levels need to be completed to access the boss stage.

Like all platformers it gets frustrating but man it's awesome.
The squirrel scene after the 1st boss made me =(

Just bought it off there and waiting for the download but i played the original flash games and loved it.

Yeah i havn't tried it yet but i've read it takes people like 3 hours.

More like 6 hours lol. Harder to 100% though.

Yeah I'm planning on just finishing the game, then going back to beat all Vortex levels and stuff.

Those are quite fun but i enjoy the character you unlock for getting 100%. =)

Haha well the one you unlock for 100% doesn't even show up on the list until 100%.

Just got this game today. Huge platformer fan and love hard games, and noticed it was 50% off so I buckled down and forked out the cash.

Definitely worth the price. Very, very fun so far, very pleased with the purchase. Just got to world 3, got 87% on world 1 (missing bandages and some warp levels by the looks of it), finished the light world 2 but haven't touched the dark world since I tried it and got my ass kicked :P

Reminds me very much of jumper 2 (great platformer for anyone that hasn't played it) with more content.

Hey now, I got like 5 other games for x-mas, so I've been busy :<

I'm in ch. 4 now. The dark world for ch. 3 was pretty damn hard though. A+'d everything so far but missing quite a few bandages, so I'll need to go back. Plus, I haven't beaten the negative levels.

Going to play some more in a bit. Such an awesome game so far.

The leaderboards don't work for me (pc version). Sometimes they load and show what position my time is in, I think, but I can't see anyone elses scores. If I keep loading them the game eventually crashes.

Is there a fix for this?

I'm lovin' the picture up there. good to see I'm not the only one reminded of the Jumper series. sidescrollers are too damn much fun.
