Default ITG2 cab questions

The arcade near me has had an ITG2 cab for a few months now, and I occasionally play it(due to its lack of songs). right behind it is the DDR MAX2 cab, however, dumb ass ppl have destroyed the sensors in all of the arrow panels, making the simplest songs hard as all hell to combo. So now im like "fucc that broken ass machine", and im gonna start playing ITG full-time, until the sensors on the DDR machine are fixed or they get another one all together.

Im not entirely sure how to import songs via usb drive. I thought it was as simple as taking a song pack and just put it on the usb, similar to SM. Is it that simple, or am I missing anything? I havent done anything yet, and I cant ask the employees what to do, cus they dont know sh!t. The only thing I know is that you have to reset the machine in order for it to register the songs on the flash drive.

1. Plug USB into machine
2. Play at least one round of ITG while USB is plugged in
3. Plug USB into a computer
4. Open USB on the computer
5. Locate and open the ITG folder (should be easy)
6. In the ITG folder, open the folder called "Songs"
7. Place song folders of the songs you want into the "Songs" folder
7A. Delete everything in a song folder excluding the .sm and the music file (.mp3 or .ogg).
8. Unplug USB when done
9. Plug USB into machine
10. Play your songs

It's been 2 years since I've used custom songs seeing as I played on a hacked machine for quite some time. But this is probably correct.

Pretty much delete excess files from the songs such as the .dwi and backgrounds and only certain flashdrives work.

PS: If ITG2 pads aren't broken you'll find that they work WONDERS. Seriously the pads are the best things ever.

I've played itg many times before, I just didn't know how the custom songs worked. And yes, the panels on the machine are freaking awesome. I just got back home from playing(tired as hell, as usual for me lol).

One more question: when I bring my songs to the machine, will the machine copy the songs onto it? Or do I have to bring my flash drive every time?

bring your flash drive with you everytime. songs will not copy over to it and the only way to do that is to hack the machine.

Just so you know alot of the custom songs made (for good files) have only expert charts for like 9s and up of course Gpop's files being an exception.

This is alright to do, as it's a straightforward process to get things working. I tend to skip the first few steps and make the folders/.ini files blank myself.

I would like to do that myself as well. Wat would the files look like? By the arcade near me, I meant a few miles away. I dont want to play a round on the machine with the drive, go back home, and resume the rest of the instructions. Too much work lol
