I recon it's a 9.

looking at a random sample of 9s that have been around since 08 and earlier (clockwork comes out of the 2007 horde of songs), we have generally around 2-300 AAAs. Clockwork has 280.
Looking at about 10 random 8s from 07-09, generally have around 3-500 AAAs. i know, not all that scientific...
as for the actual song, bpm is 175, in upper echelon for 8s.
hardest part of the song comes in around 75% in. You have jumps with little 1/3/5 note 16th thrown into a mix of jump jacks. What makes this song a 9 for me is the speed at which this is done. no, the patterns aren't horribly awkward, but just fast enough to warrant a bump.

That density alone is pretty harsh for an 8, but couple it with some offbeat 16ths and some unintentional tap to jump chains in and out of 16th bursts, it definitely rivals the lower 9 area in difficulty.

+1 to changing this to a 9.
