Touhou Online for the FFR Community
Tass > Touhou. You can beat Touhou, you can't beat Tass. Not unless you're a sexy female and he lets you.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
Izzy = I think I know what your problem is. Language
1) Make sure you have Japanese language packs installed for windows. Could be done through Control Panel. I'm sure you've done this already. 2) Go get AppLocale from Microsoft. Run Scarlet Weather Rhapsody with it. AppLocale is generally used for hgames and cggames, but why not Touhou? Same deal. http://home.cfl.rr.com/animemusouka/...all_Guide.html 3) Change the unicode for your Windows to Japanese. If none of those work, I'll think of something else. Kotarouchan: You're joining right? =D If you could post everything about CowCaster, I'd be grateful.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
I dont have a language problem with any other touhou games. And i think all those languages come with the operating system so its not so much installing them as it is changing my entire OS to Japanese. Which i don't think changes anything for programs.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
If anyone who can host wants to play me in SWR, just leave me a comment on my profile saying when (if I'm not online then) you want to play.

There's no point in using Hamachi for TH075 or TH105. Adds too much lag, the latency is horrible. Direct connections or relays are much more reliable. I can make one if you really want it, though. As for Suimusou/TH075, I'm always game for some matches. I'm pretty alright.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
You almost made this into a Touhou thread (which I'll make soon).
BTW, Hamachi really should be used if you cannot connect to others without it. I'd recommend you NOT to use it if you are playing with others who are NOT part of the FFR community. But if you like to play against someone here, please use Hamachi since most of use here cannot connect without it (like me). Also, we are aware that you are from the FFR community when we see your name in our room. Also, Midday you might want to add these two links: IaMP Wiki (Updates/patches, tips/skills, and info on Immaterial and Missing Power) SWR Wiki (Same as above, but on Scarlet Weather Rhapsody) Name of room and password pending. Thinking of a good name.

I'm not entirely sure how the lag is situated in these games, but it seems like the person who makes the game room gets much less lag then does the person that enters it. Hamachi may lag... but from what I've seen, most people can't make direct connections. Hamachi can also group members with the same goal, which is the main reason why I based this thread on Hamachi. If Hamachi proves to be inefficient, then we can just make this thread useful for meeting other Touhou Online players who want to play other people. I'm not smart. Hamachi was an option suggested by one of my Japanese friends (Sac Mrs on FFR, a Marisa player). I don't know any other options for making a secure connection for Online play. Yes, I want a Xiao original graphic on my profile/signature somewhere. So, if you have the time, please do. I appreciate. Izzy: Touhou 10.5 is the only game that requires the game to find a .dll outside of the game folder itself. That redirecting is done in Japanese unicode, which can't be done if you don't have the proper language/unicode installed in your computer. ddr_f4n: added. I think this will end up being like a Touhou Tournament thread.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
If enough people got interested in IaMP and there was some sort of FFR IaMP tournament, I'd be totally game for it.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
In like 2-3 weeks when I have Internet on my computer with all my Touhou, I could setup all the online play and everything, and make sure I have SWR working fine. But for now, I can't play with you guys. =/ I can if everyone will want to in that future. xD

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
OK, so what exactly do you want for the sig? I need specific information for the request. PM it to me. Dimensions, text, etc.
Also, if anybody is game for IaMP around 23:00 GMT-5 (ESD), drop me a line. It'd be nice to play some FFR'ers.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
I just might setup IaMP on my uncle's comp though, I do know how to play it WAY better than SWR. I just read the wiki on it for the combo's, and you can't spam the directions as well as in IaMP to use moves from my experience so far.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
No, trials do not have netplay, nor can you install CowCaster to play online on them. You must have the full version.

Fourth'd, but anyhow, instead of postwhoring, let us actively search for participants. =) We need at least 16 for an ideal tournament.
Also, I need to at least be able to beat Lunatic... before I talk of vsing other people.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
Lunatic is worthless on IaMP. I get torn to shreds by pros, but I can decimate Lunatic AI without breaking a sweat.
As for your question - I won't play SWR because of the complete change of key layout (AB specials to BC), conditionals and combos being far too easy to pull off (since most just require 5A/A/A/A/A mash before throwing in a special move or spellcard). That, and very few loops exist - that's no fun, hah! Weather mechanics in SWR are broken, flying in a fighting game just doesn't seem practical, IMO. Guilty Gear and IaMP's airdashing are cool, but flying isn't. LOL 5A MASH ON WAKEUP INTO COMBO
