It's more of an anti-lead. That's all I'm going to say.

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
Wolfxhunter has like 3 minutes before he's skipped.
Edit: I guess that means it's Charu's pick

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
I say again: "I did not sign up for this."
Saying this now before things happen. |

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
Sending in whole teams is a great idea, but the way it will be handled is less than great. Instead of stopping the "draft" right at the 1st duplicate, I say just take the next pokemon down the line for that person and continue on. And once someone doesn't have a pick left, you can tell them to put the rest of their picks in. I think people are going to pick duplicates a LOT more than you think, which means a LOT of resends if we stop every time there's a dupe. As an example for my revised method:
In this way you can at least get a good amount of the Pokemon you originally wanted for your team (I would say realistically everyone should get at least 3) and just fill the holes in with the next resend, and so on. It should hopefully stop less often as well since different people will need to fill in different holes, with different Pokemon. Obviously this method takes a little more work and care on Arkuski's part, but hey you organized this thing.

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
the reason for doing the multiple sending in is because upon discovering that you've hit a roadblock and one of your pokemon have been taken, it can drastically change your team.

This. I thought YoshL was advising me to use the method you described DC, but look earlier in the thread at the response I gave.

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
I guess we'll see. In either case its at least faster than waiting on individual picks.

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
^Case in point why the whole draft would need to be stopped. Anyone who sent in a sun team now has to rethink their whole strategy now that Ninetails is off the board.

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
Isn't the point of a draft to make the best of what everyone else leaves you, thus making teams centered around a specific strategy all but impossible?
Now I'm kicking myself for not taking Politoed. |

Re: FFR Pokemon Draft Tournament DRAFT
yes, which is why i think it might be more interesting to have like a 1st gen draft, like i think was mentioned a while back

I have a few teams in mind, all of which depend on who I can get with my first pick. Some Pokemon are very versatile, and certain 'roles' can be filled by a number of Pokemon. I'm not expecting my team to turn out how my first submission looks at all lol. |
