Re: Can I get some help, please?
So he stole it and gave it to you? Lol.
Here's some googling I did. http://www.everymac.com/systems/appl...ck-screen.html http://mtdewvirus.com/archives/2007/...d-screen-lock/ It seems that, in order to unlock it, you need to find the first computer used with the iPod to connect it. And it seems the first computer was from somebody that your friend stole it from. So, you have to restore it. Look at this for help to restore it. Also, restoring deletes everything on the iPod, so keep that in mind. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339?viewlocale=en_US

I'll check those links out, thank you. Is there a way to restore it without iTunes? Because the only computer I have doesn't have internet, so I can't really download iTunes.

No. Probably isn't what you want to hear, but if you don't have access to the original computer, then you're pretty much screwed..

Re: Can I get some help, please?
That very muchly sucks. Though, I did find out if you push that button on the bottom of the screen twice quick you can still go through the songs and stuff. And I'm not sure what it's doing, I think taking a picture, but something happens when you press the lower screen button and the turn-screen-off/on button at the same time it flashes and clicks like a camera. I dunno what it does since my laptop installs the iPod as a camera/scanner automatically and it says there's no pictures. It's weird. I'm gonna have to find a way to download iTunes and try it, so thank you very much guys. If I can get it working and didn't lose my money I'll throw some credits to everyone who helped's way.
P.S. I was told if the iPod dies when you turn it back on you don't need to enter a passcode and you can change it from the inside. True? False? Also, is there like a universal passcode or like a "safemode" like on Microsoft computers? |
