The user is female. Look at the posture, headband, face, and a thousand other things. Nothing hints at a male. It's a girl. Albeit one that should read some stickies and learn how to talk to people in a forum.

Actually, no, the facial features are the thing that makes her being a female the most obvious. That and the fact that her username is melani.
