Windows Server 2008 vs Windows Server 2012
I decided to lookup screenshots of Windows Server 2012, because the school I'm in has us working with Server 2008 in a few weeks. I noticed that it looks a lot like Windows 8, and I'm wondering if feels like it as well. I'm kind of anxious to work with it because I absolutely detest Windows 8 right now, and I don't think I'm ready to switch from 7 just yet.
Has anyone worked with Server 2012? Whether it be for small business servers, or larger scale, more professional servers. I was messing with Server 2008 in a virtualized server environment, and it felt like it would be very easy to use.

Re: Windows Server 2008 vs Windows Server 2012
I've only played around with Server 2008 in a virtual environment as well. No experience with 2012. The interwebs can help you though.

If you're not looking for a ton of background information, then skip to 24:20. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Server_2012 I'd rather go to Wiki for tech specs than the Microsoft site, lol. http://searchwindowsserver.techtarge...ould-I-upgrade There's an insightful analysis for people who need to make the decision about whether or not to upgrade. |
