The Four Flames?
So I got a tablet today, and I was super excited so I made this...
I'll be the first to admit, not that great at all This is less of a bragging thread, and more of a "what's best to use a tablet for?" "what are some good techniques?" etc. etc. So, tablet users out there, I'm talking to you. Help me out by getting me started on the right foot with my tablet |

Re: The Four Flames?
go mess around with the settings abit, find out EVERY way you can adjust the pen/tablet, and i would suggest enabling every possible option at first, and turn off what you don't need, i would set detection to 10-20%, since it gives somewhat of a pencil feel..i am more confortable with pencil.
if you use photoshop, go to window>brush>shape dynamics/other dynamics> pen pressure what model/brand did you get? ;D

Re: The Four Flames?
Just because he used the same stock photo doesn't mean he ripped the image...

Re: The Four Flames?
the thing is he did use the same image all he did was layer on the flames to keep the shadows underneath

jesus christ, you really want to nail me for ripping... http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=102905 This thread does have the picture that I got inspiration from. You can go to it and see that I didn't rip it. and to Renevatia, I'll dick around with the settings, and lowering the pressure was very helpful, so thanks I just have a Wacom bamboo, I think it's called Last edited by makdaddy; 01-17-2009 at 04:02 PM.. |

and to renetavia, those intuos look sweet, aren't they the ones that have the scrolling sidebar? I've heard a lot about those, that's what the pros use, you should get one, pretty much because you're pro but yeah, a bamboo is fine for me, it'll get the job done. |

Re: The Four Flames?
Things your tablet is not meant for:
Coaster. Protecting your desk from hot plates. A hard surface for doing sudoku puzzles. A weapon. A stand for DvDs/books, other stuff that tends to get piled up on the desk. Something else gathering dust on your desk. Things your tablet is meant for: Drawing. {:
