Yeah, actually I do happen to have a teqnique... I just joined today and im already decently good, anyway, when you first start to play, a good way to practice is to choose the one Super Mario song under the Arcade section. It's a good practice song and it really helps... at least, thats how I've gotten to where I am now. Remember, timing is everything... and another quick tip to get your mp lvl up is to get a very high combo while getting as many perfects as possible... hope this helped!

Nice title.
Well, I've been on here about a year or so. Some things you could try are playing with different finger styles (for example, play with the index and middle fingers of your hands, or both index fingers, and the three-finger-one-hand combination you're probably using) until you find out which one you like best, but yeah. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Your eyes actually do start scanning faster, and you learn common combinations. Oh, and please don't use colored font. Welcome to FFR! |

I play my left middle finger on the left arrow, left pointer finger on the down arrow, right pointer finger on numpad 8, and right middle finger on numpad 6. In my mind it is the best, most ergonomic way to play without your fingers hitting each other. You definitely want to play four-fingered, it is the easiest way to play.

RE: About the sugar-induced squirrel races...
For a while not too long ago, I hovered my fingers above the keys and started to get decent, then I realized I was making too much noise. Then I put my fingers back on the keys last Tuesday the 19th, and I noticed that my speed had greatly improved, enabling me to FC and SDG Euromorroc Standard, FC Playdoh Standard R2, FC Party 4U Standard R2 despite someone asking me to stop making so much noise when hitting the keyboard near the end, and Burnout in R1. Water Like Pudding, FF7 Battle and Contra-distinction are still a little bit out of reach, though.
So yeah, I would say that as you accumulate experience, you'll get faster and more accurate. Just stick with it, and maybe you'll get better. But for the number one tip for improving, download StepMania if you can. I haven't yet beaten anyone that had SM on their comp when I played them. <_< |
