Default Most expensive hobby item you've purchased?

I stumbled upon this article:
http://www.ibtimes.com/rare-nintendo...o-game-1548081
And I was thinking about how much money I've spent on hobby items but not a whole lot of stuff fully interests me and I don't always have a lot of money to throw around. Most expensive thing would be my guitar amplifier - $500
So how much money have you spent on a single hobby item? And was it worth it?

My computer has maybe $2600 worth of hardware in it, but the most expensive single item in it is the $400 graphics card. Technically I also have a $3000 tv, but I don't think that counts.

Was around $475.

I suppose you can also count apparatus like my DSLR camera, but I haven't really developed photography as a hobby yet. The DSLR I can't remember but comes out to over 1k with accessories.

I guess outside of general electronics and more actual hobbies I've spent $120 on a single figure before. Most being about $35 totaling around $1000. I've essentially run out of shelf space so I've hit my limit for now.

Who wouldn't spend $120 on their waifu?

I don't remember exactly how much I paid, but the models and terrain pieces for Warhammer 40K cost a quite a bit.

My sister used to be one of the main distributors for girl scout cookies in our area many years ago and after they failed to sell half of them or so my parents would just buy up the remaining crates of them so we would end up with like 700 dollars of girl scout cookies that lasted months.

That is quite the expensive hobby. I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend so much on something consumable.

It's a toss up between my most expensive keyboard and my headset. For a single keyboard it was around $200 or so, or all my keyboards..around maybe $500-600. The headset was about $150 i think.

A long time ago I bought one of the DJdao FP7 IIDX controllers, which is something like $275. It broke after like three or four years of use and then I splurged and bought one of the real edition single IIDX controllers (which they don't sell anymore apparently) for something like $600. Also have had the RES for something like four years, but it has been in storage for most of that time and for some reason is also broken even though it was in perfect shape when I put it in storage

I don't regret either purchase though. I can't even begin to count the number of hours I put in on those things over the years.

I most definitely spent a lot of money on my CD collection over the years in general (almost 1k if I ballpark it, but about half of that amount is all shipping costs from importing)

it ain't cheap owning almost full discographies for both tsukasa/sound online and school food punishment (rip). also a lot of miscellaneous doujin CD releases in general (re: otographic music, diverse system, code zts label, supercell, and more)

and countless more photos. I don't actually have an updated photo of the collection
