Re: Which style is right for you? (New players read!)
i've been playing one hand for 3 years (but sparsely; i've played 7479 games since i started but some of those games i screwed around, like i tried to see how many boos i can get before it shows me the stats page. This is tough, i can get about 25 at max. One time i went on a really laggy comp and got 125 boos)

Re: Which style is right for you? (New players read!)
There is no comparison really to what is on FFR, hardest FFR song is nothing compared to that. YOu need to play it yourself to see it.
As for getting Stepmania, just go to index of ffr board and go to DDR similators and read stickes about SM.

Re: Which style is right for you? (New players read!)
Before I start SM, I played FFR for 3 weeks or so. My rank was 776, when I found SM I stopped doing FFR. No offence to ffr and all since I rather like these forums ;o

Yeah, I don't play FFR much.
The C300 thing is what gets me.

Imagine the ending of For FFR, except with patterns that vary a lot more. Now imagine that for an entire song. And now imagine that if you hit an arrow too way too early or too late, it's regarded as a miss, and that to pass you have to hit ~95% of the arrows in the song. That's what Death Reveals is.

Re: Which style is right for you? (New players read!)
First of all, there really is no pattern to the end of For FFR. You hafta mash buttons. Or perhaps there is but it goes too fast for me. In ffr, when u hit a button too early or late, doesn't that already count as a miss? And, depending on the comp i use (the one i'm on now beeps when i press 3 arrows at once and during the beep, any arrows that come, i hafta miss)(downstairs comp is better for me), i could do the ending of For FFR the whole day repeatable without a miss by mashing buttons. Ur rank is 10? That's impressive. You have too much free time. jk. lol.

On the contrary...this should stay up as it would be quite useful to new players.
Edit: ...unless it's already in another sticky
