Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
The D6 chart honestly isn't that difficult I nailed out 11 1 1 4 in like 3 plays or so.
And I'm D4. XD |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
The 24ths in 1983 are what make it D6. They'd be just a little much for D5 round2.
Plus they annoy me and I suck at them. |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
Those 24ths in Since 1983 only equal out to 228 BPM 16ths -- I can say with pretty strong confidence that a good majority of players in D5 can keep up with that (heck, I'd say even D4 can keep up with that too - Middie got 11 on it and Kayla had 14 to about the end of the file; both of them had at least one miss, though). This will more than likely be an overflow AAA or die round in D6, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit of a high jump. Especially if D2 isn't supposed to hit FMOs until round 8... guess we'll have to wait a week and see what the next difficulty will be.

I didn't even think D2 was going to hit FMOs at all. High VC is where I thought you guys would be finishing, haha.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
It's not the speed, it's the flow, and they're not unplayable for D5, they're just annoying. And there's certainly nothing else in the song that's hard.
I should've said, the 24ths are what make it D6 Round 2. Obviously D5 will get much harder files than 1983. |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
D2 for me... okay just a question I'm in D2 I couldn't seem to AAA round 1(lost count of how many tries I did) :/, I at least got only 10goods and a weird double boo flag on round 2(first try only going to try more later) :P but at least a better score to start off with.. I usually play harder songs but my PA is not always a clean run.. I've been trying out the songs for D1-D6 just for fun not just in my division.. the question is why can I not AAA a "easiest" song but FC a FMO... haha I like the file for D2 this week "This is not Dubstep" will be stuck in my head all week as I try to Improve my score. xD

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
Well AAAing a song and FCing it are two very different things. Most of the time, FCing a song, easy or hard, is not a difficult task. AAAing a song requires you to hit those arrows with precision and not get away with mashing or some other sort of compromise.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
Okay. I understand haha I also do admit to mashing a bit on the 32nd jumpstreams of A Flower Garden a few mins ago but i did FC it :P tho' the infamous "bmah rage" part that maybe quoted from the description I found to be the easiest part.
Side Note: When my mom asks me to go water the flowers tomorrow I'm going to run down here and start playing your file. I'll be watering my fingers as they perspire through my keyboard. See Mom look @ all the colourful arrows do you want your flowers to be that colourful?! :P Last edited by ballet dude; 07-15-2012 at 03:33 AM.. Reason: I forgot my witty remark! :D |

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
Nocturne - Can't say much tbh since I don't remember much about it.
Insomnia - Was fun Cs Custom Gun Sounds - Own chart so bleh Yellow Leaves - Despite the fact that it's long I enjoyed playing it. The only song I haven't AAAed yet out of all the divisions. I wouldn't expect it to be an AAA or die round but I guess everyone is good at long songs v.v A FLOWER GARDEN - I love these kinds of wonky songs/files. Reminded me of Coretoon. Very fun to play. The ending JS after the 3[12]3[12]3[12] trill was a little awkward though and kept giving me random goods lol. Since 1983 - Pretty fun to play. Can't really say much else though. Took me less tries than Spoils somehow.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
Just dropping in to say I just played through D4's song while dead tired and got 6 sightread. I shouldn't be doing that well on high VC songs sr (D3 here) - this is neither a 62 nor more difficult than Addict, lmao. This is easier than the easier gacha gacha imo. AAA or die~
D5's song is so damn cute <3 That trill is LOL D2's was great, good song and very nice steps. A bit rough on D2ers so early in the tourney though - last year's asterisk at this stage was loads easier :P

Quote:
Since 1983 is not easier than Spoils. It is just straight forward, so players with enough speed to play it will probably find it slightly easier to AAA. Less skilled players will put up 15-0-2-2 kind of scores, but are miles from truly conquering the file. Edit: Ok maybe I am wrong here I just played 1983 again no that I am really warmed up and it was a really easy AAA. I don't know anymore!

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
Insomnia: The beginning and end of the song are very easy, but the middle is full of 32nd notes with jumps and one up/down trill that could easily trip up a lot of players. I will be surprised if there are more than ten AAA's.

Yellow Leaves is way easier than Addict imo. It has a nice flow to it. Then again, Addict was Dubstep so the song's file was like lolwut.

Re: FFR 7th Official Tourney Songs Discussion: Round 2
tbh I'm surprised Since 1983 was used for D6. I figured if it was gonna be used for the tournament it would come either near the beginning of D5 or further down the line for D4.
Good to hear that at least some people enjoyed it though =P. |
