definitely harder than ASB. PA wise it is similar... harder to combo. ASB only has 1 tiny section that is difficult to combo, this has a bunch of crazy bursts.

I'm thinking a 5 because of the weird bursts and the fact that there are 16th runs (I don't think they're fast enough to be called trills) interspersed in a jumpstream, a pattern I regularly screw up. Hence why I can't FC CIA.

I say Raindrops should be moved from 1.5/6 to 2.5/6, I know it's easy for a while but it has alot of doubles and has that one part close to the end. At least I can FC it though...

Edit: LOL, look what I said back then...

Uhh no, RainDrops is definitely a 1.5...it's not hard at all, certainly nothing compared to OLB or Boss Machine.

Revo is one of the hardest songs, and it's AAAable. What Jimerax's post means is which songs have jacks so fast that they are impossible to AAA.

I think the max combo of 314 should be added for chrono trigger, where it says the other stuff, like 8 goods, 8 misses.

I know everyone hates a I can FC X but not Y so therfore X is easier post so ill try to explain it in other terms.

Etude To A Dragon is without a doubt easier then CIA Rave. In my opinon there is only one hard section in the song where there are a couple of semi-awkard jumps in a stream. CIA rave has no easy sections and there are multiple challenging bits. CIA Rave is always dense Etude is mostly dense.

Im using CIA Rave as an example personally I think Etude should be somewhere between 54 and 57. Up to you but I was really surprised to see Etude>CIA.

CIA Rave is put lower because it's INSANELY index friendly. Etude is not. That's basically why...plus the jumpstream part of Etude is relatively hard compared to anything in CIA.

Would it be okay if I invented a new term to describe a pattern in Etude?

Jumping jacks: Like single arrow jacks, only with jumps.

So how much is playing style (one hand, two hand, index, etc.) factored in to these difficulty ratings? Your statement seems to indicate that it is considered. But how? I can think of a few possible ways, so I'm wondering what's actually done. Thanks.

Not saying it's considered per se (otherwise Pants and EHHS would be far higher, and Strangeprogram/AIM Anthem a bit lower), but it's just that indexable stream is easier than non-indexable stream, for all styles.

I suppose that makes sense. If the stream can be hit well with just two fingers, it shouldn't be *that* bad with three or four fingers. I imagine it's too much work to do, but it might be interesting to see the songs ranked differently based on different (common) playing styles.

Thanks again to everyone making this list. While I'm not a great player, the basic order looks generally right to me, and it's good to have this information. The detailed placements of individual songs I leave to the experts to determine.
