DDR Losing Originality?
This is just my opinion but have you noticed that in each New DDR game there are less and less Japanese songs? Cause in DDRSN2 there were hardly any and now in DDR X practically the only Japanese song is Posieden by Naoki... and the rest are American hip hop songs practically. 0.0

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
DDR started losing originality after its first few games.

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
DDR was fun up to Extreme. After that I just stopped caring (Supernova etc). Nothing sounded good -- the charts weren't fun, and there was just nothing there to catch and keep my interest.

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
Konami originals are a thing of the past. All that's left now is a high demanded franchise that only brings in Beatmania, American pop, and other music for the sole purpose of raising profit.
Not only the songs, but the steps have lost their shine as well.

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
I agree with Rubix. Extreme 2 is the last one that was any good. Although I do kind of like the 10 footers from SN. SN2 is garbage.

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
I completely agree with all you guys. Extreme 2 was good but SuperNOVA 2 was horrible and DDR X is going to be even worse. Konami made it ghetto style with more American hip hop songs (wtf?)

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
What are you implying by your first sentence? Japanese songs =/= originality. I will say that DDR is indeed losing it's touch (game play wise, as a rhythm game).

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
DDR is losing it's touch, yes. But, DDR X looks okay. DDR MAX through EXTREME 2 were okay. They did ruin the three games afterwards. But don't blame Knoami. Blame Tobisha-EMI for the fact that Konami can't use classic (I mean CLASSIC) DDR songs.

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
I heard there's going to be USB ports where you'll be able to plug in a Flash Drive and use your own songs/stepfiles. That'll make up for all the crap they're doing.

Way to kill ITG, Konami. gg But anyways, as pretty much everyone said, DDR was only okay up until Extreme. Everything released after that was awful and didn't really live up to the hype.

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
Why do you guys hate this? Of course Konami is a ****ing ass-hole for doing this but at least DDR is MUCH better now.

Re: DDR Losing Originality?
Yeah, it's pretty sad =/ In my new area, the mall has a Megamix and Extreme, which pretty much gives me all of the best charts and songs, plus other place has SN, for things like Paranoia Respect. <3
But at least I'd be able to find good pad charts and hook up a mat to Stepmania and have all the Japanese and any other music I want.
