Left-Right Trills - Can't do them

I've always had trouble doing Left and Right arrow trills. It's not that I can't hit them, but it's more like my fingers would eventually hit them out of consecutive order, and make me lose the combo, etc.

I play spread, and my middle fingers always screw up on long trills. Even if I use my index fingers, I still can't do it.

So does anyone have any tips to overcome this?

Left-Down trills-- can't do them.

I used to have the same problem. I guess just the more trills you do the better you get, like everything else. But is what I noticed is by the end of the trill I usually tend to try to go faster than I should. So is what I do is I just try to hold up and go the same speed. It's hard for me lol
Also, with songs that have trills. Sometimes turning the music off helps

having trouble with left right arrows is much more managable than having trouble with left down and right up because that would mean you have a speed issue in your hand. Like for me I'm still trying to get my right hand up and right trills as fast as my left hand left and down trills, I'm left handed. (this is assuming you play conventional spread.)

Fortunately your issue is just a rhythm issue.

practice songs with slow left right trills and concentrate on staying on the beat. Don't stare at the PERFECT! symbol, concentrate on the arrows and the rhythm.

looking at your level ranks I see you have fc'd RATO and DP but you haven't AAA'd a single song. Start working on your pa (perfect average)

I suggest trying to pa max forever if you have that song

I told myself I would 3A everything after I FC'd it all, so FFR last longer.

Though what about SM? I could mash songs with trills fine if I don't wanna 3A it, but I can't FC songs with those trills in SM very well.

I don't play sm so I don't know about that sorry.

good news: ffr is endless

You are never going to perfect full combo every song in the game and it is more than likely you will never get rank 1 on every song in the game. And I don't mean "you" I mean this for everyone. So start going for a few AAA's

dont ruin his hopes and dreams like that lol besides full comboing every song is a lot easier than AAA'ing everything.. i think he's set a fine goal for himself

by perfect full combo, he meant AAA. FCing every song is possible, but that will come in time, AAAing is more rewarding, impressive and actually gets you shown for your skill.

Just hit one of them really specifically on the beat, and let the other one just hit in the middle. Like TAP-tap-TAP-tap, etc.

i've had problems with trills ever since i started ffr and there's been no improvement in 3 months of doing trills everyday. I think my keyboard doesn't allow me to go any faster than my current speed, I hope for you that your problem is mostly rythm.

yeah I did mean you will never AAA every song in the game (rato, dp, vertex beta vrofl,). You can probably fc every song (I'm assuming you only mean public songs) since you fc'd rato and dp go for it

I tend to have this issue on Spread myself. I've found that playing Max Forever and other songs with mini trills helps. I might also suggest Klung Kung 2004 cause those trills are pretty fast.

I always found two handed trills to be pretty simple.
