Popcorn doesn't even do this justice. I really hoped it was legit. I feel like getting a billion or more is something everyone has to at least try, to see how hard it is.

Really sad turn of events given the strain necessary for the legit unlock.

It's brutal, but doable. The difficult part is allotting the time.
I got 650,000,000 in like... just over 7 hours during the last gamewhore competition? that was playing nothing but VS Boss Battle, cutting out before the last 32nd note fill, and that was literally playing it without mashing -- I had over 99% perfects that day over the course of what... 120,000 notes? Might have been more, I don't know what that would equate to. Let me find that thread... |

I definitely couldn't play that file for more than 3 hours I think.. it's pretty dense and unrelenting

http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...grandtotal.php
I got 650,000,000 in 643 plays -- bahahahaha. The image that I had showing my totals was a puu.sh, so I unfortunately don't have it anymore, but it said that I got 99.43% perfects... gross. |

kinda sad he tried to pass scripting as "trying" for what's left of this arrow game (even if he did do a majority of it, shame.)

Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
I did some math about whoring VS Boss Battle:
So let's give that you fail out after hitting 863 notes perfectly (the end of the long jumpstream) which is approx. 55 seconds into the file: • 863 notes = 1,337,650 points every 55 seconds • 86,400 seconds in a day / 55 seconds per play = approx. 1,571 plays in one day • 1,571 plays in one day X 1,337,650 points per play = 2,101,448,150 points in one day So in theory, 2 billion points is possible in 24 hours by just whoring VS Boss Battle for 24 hours straight. Thoughts?

Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
I'm too lazy to do this but I assume you can scrape the NPS density distribution for all stepcharts. Then you can determine some cutoff for personal tolerance of time (e.g. "I don't want to have to whore something any longer than Y hours straight"), and from there determine which songs will allow you to accomplish that while hitting the minimum GTS.
You could also do this to variegate the lineup as to not burn out from any one song (assuming there are multiple songs that might fit the bill if you decrease the difficulty load over time to compensate for stamina drain) |

Re: Vertex Beta vRofl thread - post here if you qualify
If you really want to optimize your scores on VS Boss Battle you fail out before the end where there's a noticeable NPS gap. In theory yes you could get 2 billion of there was zero seconds of transition time between each play and you got all those hits perfectly, but from my experience getting past the 18 hour mark takes a huge hit on your accuracy.
If you were wondering about my experience without using vertex beta vrofl It got to the point where in the last ~6 hours my plays were 100+ goods or I kept failing before 300 combo because I was getting misses that were seemingly random. At that point, it feels like nothing makes sense -- in the beginning you get the AAA/low SDG scores, but then later on your mind fucks with you. I did feel a few stings on my wrists and ring fingers, but it wasn't anything that bad. A few things to consider: - Your typical interruptions. This can be a bathroom break, it could be computer problems (for 10 minutes I tried getting a playlist to play but failed, got really mad at that), eating, whatever. - Gradual degradation. For the first half you can play strong, but then in the second half accuracy degradation gets exponentially higher. Your eyes get dry and feel heavy if you're not blinking enough and then staring at the screen for too long (I had to look away and mash quite a few times).
