So very easy forum-wide poll: Garlic Bread, or Bacon? You only get to choose one for breakfast.

Obviously Cheese Melt Garlic Bread is better but even good ol' Garlic Bread beats Bacon IMHO.

If you feel the need to include a food item better than both of these for breakfast, shout it out in the thread and get prepared to be criticized I guess.

Considering that both are super tasty when done well with good ingredients (like freshly grated cheese and cut garlic for example), to me it comes down to which one is better on average and that's just bacon. Garlic bread can be very meh if the bread has become slightly too stale/hard. Also bacon has tons of uses so you could have bacon plenty of ways, whereas garlic bread is mostly just that, garlic bread.

And well given the lack of criteria of this poll/open ended question about "breakfast item" (although who tf eats garlic bread for breakfast smh), I'd say bagels are a pretty damn strong contender (especially one with smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers).

It's bacon. Garlic bread doesn't even hold an ounce of bacon grease in comparison considering how vast the uses for bacon are, and even on its own, give me bacon any day.

i used to work at a smashburger where i'd always open-- and so i had to make a few hundred strips of bacon a day (about 2.5/3 brim-full tins) and i'd always yoink a couple for myself. however, i quickly got sick of bacon.

garlic bread on the other hand, is a decadence of the highest sort. i struggle to eat most things for a variety of reasons, but anything bread is a + for me.
