Start sellin. Requirements are

1Gb ram or better.
40-80Gb memory, more isn't necessary.
3.00 gHz processor or better.
CD/DVD reader and CDrW writer drive
Built in wireless adapter
Sterio Speakers
17' screen preferred.

Anyone find anything good let me know. THanks. Right now I'm thinking one of these four:

HP Pavilion ZD8060 Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz Notebook

Toshiba Satellite P30-RG4 Intel Pentium 4 552 3.46GHz 2,500.00$ LL

Fujitsu LifeBook N6010 (FPCM60261, Packaged) $2,399.00 L

Toshiba Satellite A70-AB2 Intel Pentium 4 548 3.33GHz Laptop 2,100.00$

Toshiba and Fujitsu both are awful. I've had 5 different Toshiba's over the past 20 months or so. I love Costco and their 6 month return policy on computers.... because damn does Toshiba suck. I had every problem under the sun with them. Orli is finding this out now... her Toshiba is now in the shop to get its BIOS updated because its recovercy CD doesn't recognize that it is a Toshiba.

Before that, she had a Fujitsu.... she spent more time with a loner than with her computer. Seems that way with her Toshiba too.

Get the HP. I've had one for about 3 months now... not a single problem yet. And it has a sexy remote to work all the media functions. Its hawt.

PS - I'll sell you mine for $3500.

I'll even include the 10 gigs of porn on it.

Its 3.4 Gigs, 60 GB HD, 15.6" widescreen tv with some sort of high-def. DVD-RW burner. And the hawt remote. I think 512 MB RAM. Speakers kick ass. Wireless, of course. Plus the porn... and I'll autograph it.

Too bad alain doesn't like Dells. I've had a Dell laptop for almost a year now and the only problem i've had is when I spilt Propel on it and it made it go a little slower :< The Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 4 laptop is super-awesome. It lights up, too.

Tass: When I said "You can sell neigh a laptop" I mean't, you can reccomend a laptop. I'm not buying anything off you especially if it's loaded with porn. For that much money I can get a decent laptop. I'm not going for a supercomputer either. The ideal computer would have my specifications, and no better, and be relatively inexpensive. It should also sing to me at night.

And, what is wrong with 10 gigs of porn? I bet bandit has more than me. But, then again, I delete most of mine after I watch it once or twice. And I've had about 6 different computers over the past 2 years, so the porn was constantly being wiped.

Tass, I can get something with the same specs for considerably less and no clutter. And I don't want something 10,000 times better either way, because, like I sec, there's no point in spending something more on something you have no use for. Only pay for what you need.

my HP that is 10,000 better than the same toshiba is the same price. i paid 1400 for my computer. i just wanted to make a profit.

if you were willing to pay 3500 for my computer, i'd have sold it to you. otherwise.... this computer rocks. ALL MINE.

I suggest taking a gander at newegg (http://newegg.com/notebook/?DEPA=3) if you are interested in a laptop. They have really nice deals. But if you have your heart set on one of the Laptops you listed, get the HP. Just because HP makes decent computers. I had an HP laptop and I liked it.

I went to some computer store, found a kick ass toshiba that had 258mb ram, 2.8gigz processor, 60gig harddrive, good graphics card, and had them put 512mb of ram in it for $500 for the entire computer. I still have that toshiba laptop and it kicks ass... I don't see whats wrong with toshiba tass... It has the same parts in it most computers do the only difference is toshiba put it together lol.

All I know is my experiences.... I've had at least 5 Toshibas, and every single one of them has had issues. Whorli has a Toshiba with issues, my mother had a Toshiba with issues. Everyone I know has had problems with Toshiba.

Why risk that when HP is comparable price and much better reliability. Plus the hawt remote control.
