That's uh...not all the college votes.

232 for Clinton almost certainly. She'll win New Hampshire and Minnesota.

They'll probably demand a recount of PA and FL as well, not that I expect it will accomplish anything besides an attempt at face-saving.

I mean, math aside, Trump is the POTUSE.

I'm going to do my best to ignore that for 4 years until I have to weigh in myself.

I guess barring something unexpected and dramatic, the best hope now is that he can only do so much damage in 2 years before midterm elections?

I mean I know the house and senate are republican and the SC will likely be too now. But checks and balances is a thing and i feel like people are blind to that fact. Even with republicans in congress, a vast majority won't support any wild and insane social policies. I don't understand Clinton supporters losing their minds about what Trump is going to do to LGBT (especially this group), minorities, and women. "Roe v Wade is in danger", is that a joke? Come on...Trump is focused on the economic revival of this country. "He hasn't paid federal taxes in years". Because he was a private citizen? You wouldn't either if you could avoid it; he can fix this nonsense considering he clearly knows how it operates (poorly). Decreasing regulation on the upper class makes sense if you have ANY economic understanding at all. "They need to pay more because theyre rich!!!!". This does YOU no good. It simply gives the gov't a few million more dollars to do jack with. The wealthy class in this country are the ones paying your salaries. They can't afford to increase these wages given the regulation theyre under. "You support child labor". No, the countries with cheap labor support child labor. Decreasing business regulation would allow us to bring jobs back DECREASING this atrocity. Pettily demanding the upper class to pay more does no good. If they pay more, they can't pay you. I like what soundwave- said about solipsism, albeit i think its present on both sides, but more so in clinton supporters. Ya'll are focusing on trump's personal characteristics, not objectively at his ability to POTUS up this country. He knows what needs to be done, and now that he is elected, he just said he wanted EVERYONES help and to support EVERYONE. Lets take a step back and see what he has to offer..something tells me these next 4 years could present a new boom in the US economy. (in case you forgot, he may have a networth of several billion, but now hes worth -20 trillion.)

On a specific note, people freaking out about Mike Pence and his gay conversion therapy stance, ya'll are delusional to think any appeal to Roe v Wade would pass through congress. Next, say in the 0% chance this happens, it happens. Do you really think life-term serving, revered for being nonpartisan to whoever is in power (yes they are appointed, but as a pinnacle of the profession's career that any judge would take incredibly seriously) supreme court justices would abstain from ruling something like this unconstitutional given the expansion of the right to privacy (statutory) that we have seen? I don't know....it just seems like people are losing their minds over scenarios which will not happen. WILL NOT HAPPEN. Clinton is proven corrupt and I'm seeing posts like "You said you'd rig this bitch! Why didn't you!". It's unreal to think people are more afraid of delusional future scenarios, when corruption in our government is a clear and present danger. To think this election was actually planned to be rigged should terrify you. Trump wants 5 year congressional term limits. Think about it, some of these congressman have been in power for decades. You think they aren't all corrupt supporting eachother so mutual support? It is known congressman do this as part of 'politics', what we don't know is the extent to which this occurs; THIS should scare you.

corruption is inherent to the nature of government because it is inherent to the nature of people

i think you're pretty optimistic if you think that will ever change

at least this is the more exciting outcome

a huge number of poor saps have just dumped their lives' issues onto one man and now we all get to see whether he lives up to anything he promised

Inherent yes, but suppressible by statute and public awareness. If we do nothing to stop it, you get the Clinton organization. "We've been bussing people out [to vote illegally] for 50 years, and we're not going to stop now, we're just gunna find another way to do it". #congressionaltermlimits2017

-but yes, definitely the more exciting result 0.0

Hey man thanks for the comprehensive list of all the times throughout history trickle-down economics turned out to be a good long-term plan.

Don't expand the list any more. You'll just look stupid.

It worked with Reagan. But what is your alternative and how does it work?

And on a defensive note, do you not realize upper class tax cuts hardly impact you? Them paying less has does not make you worse off. It is simply petty to want them to pay more because they have more money. The net increase of federal income would hardly change with an increase on upper class taxes. They'd pay more, they'd pay you less, so you'd pay less in income taxes, pretty much balancing any sort of tax income change. This is not incredibly complicated economics, but it is supported by oh i dont know every economics course you will ever take.
